Abstract

Movies have signs that contain meaning in every scene in the film. Friendship is a form of relationship that cannot be separated by humans throughout their lives so that they depend on each other in undergoing the process of effective communication needs. A friendly relationship must be able to maintain a good attitude, so that it is close and compact and can run harmoniously, but in general maintaining friendly relations can be difficult, especially in the case of friendship tenuous. In this study, researchers only focused on denotative and connotative meanings by using film as the main support by associating the signs of friendship in friendship films like cocoons. This study uses semiotics with a qualitative descriptive approach based on Roland Barthes' semiotic method by collecting data through documentation in the form of dialogue obtained from film transcripts while the form of scenes obtained from film visuals is related to establishing friendships. In this entire film, it presents a bullying in the school environment and the story of a friendship between the cocoon gang and Paula and Ben Sarjono which ends in a harmonious relationship. The results of the scene obtained in establishing friendly relationships, namely mutual help, support, trust, familiarity and acceptance. This makes researchers interested in analyzing that every behavior and action carried out in the scene shows the value of establishing friendships Keywords: Semiotics, Representation, Film, Friendship, Roland Barthes. Film memiliki tanda yang mengandung makna disetiap adegan dalam film. Persahabatan merupakan salah bentuk hubungan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan oleh manusia sepanjang kehidupannya sehingga bergantung satu sama lain dalam menjalani proses kebutuhan komunikasi yang efektif. Sebuah menjalin hubungan persahabatan harus bisa menjaga sikap dengan baik, agar erat dan kompak serta bisa berjalan dengan harmonis, namun secara umum menjaga hubungan persahabatan dapat menjadi hal yang sulit terutama pada kasus renggang persahabatan. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti hanya berfokus pada makna denotatif dan konotatif dengan menggunakan film sebagai pendukung utama dengan mengaitkan tanda menjalin persahabatan yang ada di dalam film persahabatan bagai kepompong. Penelitian ini menggunakan semiotika dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif berdasarkan metode semiotika Roland Barthes dengan mengumpulkan data melalui dokumentasi secara bentuk dialog diperoleh dari transkrip film sedangkan bentuk adegan yang diperoleh dari visual film terkait dengan menjalin persahabatan. Dalam keseluruhan film ini, menyajikan tentang sebuah perundungan dilingkungan sekolah serta kisah persaingan menjalin persahabatan antara geng kepompong dengan Paula dan Ben Sarjono yang berakhir dengan hubungan keharmonisan. Hasil scene yang diperoleh dalam menjalin hubungan persahabatan, yaitu saling membantu, dukungan, kepercayaan, keakraban dan penerimaan. Hal ini yang membuat peneliti tertarik untuk menganalisis bahwa setiap perilaku dan tindakan yang dilakukan yang terdapat didalam scene memperlihatkan nilai menjalin persahabatan Kata Kunci : Semiotika, Representasi, Film, Persahabatan, Roland Barthes
