Abstract

This thesis is entitled "Public Opinion Regarding the Childfree Phenomenon Polemic (Case Study of Childfree Content on the @Gitasav Instagram Account): Interview Approach with Netizens." This research aims to explore public opinion regarding the childfree phenomenon by focusing on direct interviews with netizens who interact with childfree content on the Instagram account @Gitasav. The research method used is a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with a number of netizens who are actively involved in discussions and comments related to childfree on the platform. The results of this research provide an in-depth understanding of the various views and opinions of netizens regarding the childfree phenomenon. The interviews reveal the factors that motivate netizens to support or oppose childfree living choices, as well as how interactions on the Instagram platform can influence the formation of their opinions. In addition, this research includes an analysis of the dynamics of the debate, similarities and differences in views between netizens who participated in the discussion. It is hoped that this research can contribute to a deeper understanding of public opinion regarding the childfree phenomenon, especially through the perspective of netizens who actively interact on social media. The implications of these findings can be useful for researchers, practitioners and the general public in exploring the dynamics of public opinion and responding to them more contextually. Keywords: Childfree Phenomenon, Childfree Polemic, Instagram @Gitasav Skripsi ini berjudul "Opini Publik Terkait Polemik Fenomena Childfree (Studi Kasus Konten Childfree pada Akun Instagram @Gitasav): Pendekatan Wawancara dengan Netizen." Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami opini publik terkait fenomena childfree dengan fokus pada wawancara langsung dengan netizen yang berinteraksi dengan konten childfree di akun Instagram @Gitasav. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan sejumlah netizen yang secara aktif terlibat dalam diskusi dan komentar terkait childfree di platform tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam mengenai beragam pandangan dan opini netizen terhadap fenomena childfree. Wawancara mengungkapkan faktor-faktor yang memotivasi netizen dalam mendukung atau menentang pilihan hidup childfree, serta bagaimana interaksi di platform Instagram dapat memengaruhi pembentukan opini mereka. Selain itu, penelitian ini mencakup analisis terhadap dinamika perdebatan, kesamaan, dan perbedaan pandangan antara netizen yang berpartisipasi dalam diskusi tersebut. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami dengan lebih mendalam opini publik terkait fenomena childfree, khususnya melalui perspektif netizen yang aktif berinteraksi di media sosial. Implikasi temuan ini dapat berguna bagi peneliti, praktisi, dan masyarakat umum dalam menggali dinamika opini publik serta meresponsnya secara lebih kontekstual.
