Abstract
Delivery of goods has various aspects and factors including distance, length of time duration and additional costs that must be taken into account. The purpose of this study is to reduce the duration of delivery time with the nearest neighbor method and calculate shipping cost savings. The duration of delivery time is calculated from the return arrival hour minus the departure time which is 09.00.00, for the calculation fee starts if the working hours are for 9 hours and is calculated at IDR 30,000 then added the calculation of IDR 500 / minute. This research was conducted in the Jabodetabek, Cilegon and Karawang delivery areas until 67 delivery data were obtained that had 9-hour working hours for the method to be used, namely nearest neighbor, the explanation of this method is to determine the closest point starting from the place of departure to the final place with the shortest distance. The use of the nearest neighbor method was carried out on 67 data and 19 shipments were obtained that experienced distance reduction. The results of this study include a total distance of 12,184.4 KM to 12,128.7 KM getting a difference of 55.7 KM, reducing the duration of delivery time for 30.67 minutes from 5296 minutes to 5625.33 minutes and costs that can be streamlined from the amount of data of IDR 4,658,000 to IDR 4,497,387 after using the method obtained efficiently IDR 160,613 with a percentage of 3.45%. Keywords: Delivery, Time Duration, Distance, Cost Pengiriman barang memiliki berbagai macam aspek dan faktor diantara nya jauhnya jarak, lamanya durasi waktu dan biaya tambahan yang harus diperhitungkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengurangi lamanya durasi waktu pengiriman dengan metode nearest neighbor dan menghitung penghematan biaya pengiriman. Durasi waktu pengiriman dihitung dari jam tiba kembali dikurangi jam keberangkatan yaitu pukul 09.00.00, untuk biaya perhitungan dimulai bila jam kerja selama 9 jam dan terhitung Rp 30.000 kemudian ditambah perhitungan sebesar Rp 500/menit. Penelitian ini dilakukan wilayah pengiriman Jabodetabek, Cilegon dan Karawang hingg didapatkan 67 data pengiriman yang memiliki jam kerja 9 jam untuk metode yang akan digunakan yaitu nearest neighbor, penjelasan dari metode ini adalah menentukan titik terdekat yang dimulai dari tempat keberangkatan hingga ke tempat akhir dengan jarak paling pendek. Penggunaan metode nearest neighbor dilakukan pada 67 data dan didapatkan 19 pengiriman yang mengalami pengurangan jarak. Hasil dari penelitian ini diantaranya total jarak 12.184,4 KM menjadi 12.128,7 KM mendapatkan selisih sebesar 55,7 KM, mengurangi durasi waktu pengiriman selama 30,67 menit dari 5296 menit menjadi 5625,33 menit dan biaya yang dapat diefisienkan dari besaran data Rp 4.658.000 menjadi Rp 4.497.387 setelah penggunaan metode didapatkan efisien Rp 160.613 dengan persentase 3,45%.
