Abstract

Patriarchal culture is not just about being a leader or other traditional figure, but goes deeper than that. Patriarchy itself has an impact on violence against women due to the social position of men who are higher than women. The display of Patriarchal Culture is visualized in the Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap Film which tells the story of a family from Batak Culture with elements of male domination over women. This study aims to determine the qualitative content analysis of patriarchal culture in Ngeri-ngeri Sedap Movie. The conception of patriarchal perception is principally based on the paternalist view, which assumes that in the social system, the existence of fathers or men is a phenomenon that determines the realization of a functionalist structure in the family. The research method used in this research is Qualitative Content Analysis. The movie to be researched is "Patriarchal Culture in Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap Movie". This study uses a Unit of Analysis in which it is based on the scene scene that presents a Batak culture that is strongly shown in the Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap movie. The results of this study are about Patriarchal Culture, which has 3 categories, namely Temprament, showing the temperament category that describes fights between parents and their children, SexRole which describes women are always devalued. Women are placed for household chores only. Status (Superior and Inferior) describes In a patriarchal culture, the existence of women is seen as unimportant and views that the position of women tends to be inferior while the position of men is superior. Keywords: Culture, Patriarchy, film, Patriarchal Theory, Patriarchal Concept, Category Budaya patriarki dianggap tidak hanya soal menjadi pemimpin atau tokoh adat lainnya, tapi lebih dalam dari itu. Patriarki sendiri memberikan dampak kekerasan terhadap perempuan akibat posisi sosial kaum laki-laki yang lebih tinggi daripada kaum perempuan. Tampilan Budaya Patriarki tervisualisasikan pada Film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap yang menceritakan kisah keluarga dari Budaya Batak dengan unsur-unsur dominasi laki-laki terhadap Perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis isi kualitatif budaya patriarki pada Film Ngeri-ngeri Sedap. Konsepsi persepsi patriarki pada prinsipnya didasari oleh pandangan paternalis yang memberikan asumsi bahwa dalam sistem sosial, keberadaan bapak atau laki-laki menjadi suatu fenomena yang menentukan terwujudnya struktur fungsionalisme dalam keluarga. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Analisis Isi Kualitatif. Film yang akan di riset adalah “Budaya Patriarki Dalam Film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap”. Penelitian ini menggunakan Unit Analisis yang didalamnya berdasarkan pada scene scene yang mempresentasikan suatu budaya suku batak yang sangat ditunjukan pada film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap. Hasil Penelitian ini adalah tentang Budaya Patriarki yaitu memiliki 3 Kategori yaitu Temprament, menunjukan kategori temperament yang menggambarkan Perkelahian antara Orang tua dengan anaknya, SexRole yang menggambarkan Perempuan selalu direndahkan. Perempuan ditempatkan untuk pekerjaan rumah tangga saja. Status (Superior dan Inferior) menggambarkan Dalam budaya patriarki membuat keberadaan perempuan dipandang tidak penting dan memandang bahwa kedudukan perempuan cenderung menjadi inferior sedangkan kedudukan laki-laki yang menjadi superior.
