Abstract

Kesadaran masyarakat terhadap isu gangguan mental perlu ditingkatkan agar masyarakat dapat megurangi stigma dan diskriminasi yang terjadi pada orang dengan gangguan mental. Film pendek dapat menjadi salah satu media yang dapat digunakan untuk menyampaikan informasi tentang isu kesehatan mental dengan lebih kompleks serta dapat membuat audience mampu merasakan dan mengetahui dengan rinci dari seseorang yang mempunyai gangguan mental yang diperlihatkan dalam film pendek. Pembuatan film pendek ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap isu gangguan mental. Penulis naskah memiliki peran yang penting dalam pengembangan ide dan konsep, penelitian, dan pembuatan naskah yang menjadi acuan terhadap pesan yang akan disampaikan melalui film pendek yang diproduksi. Strategi komunikasi pada pembuatan film pendek “Pulang” ini ditinjau dari pendekatan emosional. Melalui film pendek ini penulis ingin mengedukasi, menginspirasi dan memberikan sebuah motivasi dalam bentuk film pendek “Pulang” mulai dari apa yang akan dituju, masalah, konflik, dan bagaimana seharusnya ketika semua itu ada serta mengatasinya. Berdasarkan proses pembuatan tugas akhir aplikatif dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Peran penulis naskah dalam pembuatan film sangat penting yang bertujuan agar terbentuknya cerita secara utuh dan sesuai dengan yang disepakati oleh tim; (2) Pada tahap produksi, penulis memantau dan memastikan kesesuaian cerita yang dibuat ; (3) Dalam film “pulang”, penulis mencoba menyampaikan bahwa setiap anak mempunyai kapasitasnya masing masing, anak juga merupakan anugerah dari tuhan yang diberikan kepada orang tua, bukan keinginannya lahir di dunia. Kata Kunci: Film Pendek, Gangguan Mental, Penulis Naskah Raising public awareness regarding issues related to mental disorders is imperative in order to mitigate the stigmatization and discrimination experienced by individuals afflicted with mental disorders. Short films offer a medium through which information about mental health issues can be effectively disseminated in a nuanced manner, allowing the audience to gain a profound understanding of individuals depicted with mental disorders in the short film. The primary objective behind the production of this short film is to raise public awareness regarding issues related to mental disorders. Scriptwriters play an important role in the development of ideas and concepts, conduct research, and creating scripts that serve as foundational references for the messages to be conveyed through the ensuing short films. The communication strategy employed in the creation of the short film titled "Pulang" revolves around an emotional approach. Through this cinematic work, the author aspires to impart education, inspiration, and motivation. "Pulang" serves as a narrative, encompassing various aspects such as objectives, challenges, conflicts, as well as proposed resolutions for these issues. Drawing conclusions from the process of making an applicable final assignment, the following observations can be made: (1) The significance of the scriptwriter's role in the filmmaking process is paramount, with the primary objective of crafting a comprehensive narrative that aligns with the team's established objectives; (2) During the production phase, the writer assumes the responsibility of ensuring the congruity and appropriateness of the created storyline; (3) Within the context of the film "Pulang," the author endeavors to convey the message that each child possesses unique capacities, emphasizing that children are bestowed upon parents as a divine gift, rather than being a result of their desire to be born into this world.
