Abstract
The problems that occurred in Serang City Secretariat are the lack of leadership role, the decrease of discipline and work motivation, and the decreasing of performance achievement in 2014. This research was conducted to know the influence of leadership role on employee performance, the influence of work discipline on employee performance, On the performance of employees and the influence of leadership roles, work discipline and work motivation together to the performance of employees. The research conducted is descriptive, with the total employee population of 144 people and probability sampling used as sampling technique. The amount of sample used refers to the formula of Slovin, so the sample is 60 people. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression method. The result of the research shows that there is influence of leadership role to employee performance, there is influence of work discipline to employee performance, there is influence of work motivation to employee performance and there is influence between leadership role, work discipline and work motivation collectively to employee performance at City Secretariat Serang - Banten. Specifically, there needs to be an improvement on the overall components of leadership role, work discipline and work motivation in Serang City Secretariat - Banten so that employee performance productivity is increasing. Key words : Leadership Role; Discipline; Work Motivation; Employee Performance Permasalahan yang terjadi di Sekretariat Daerah Kota Serang adalah kurangnya peran kepemimpinan, penurunan tingkat kedisiplin dan motivasi kerja, serta penurunan capaian kinerja pada tahun 2014. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh peran kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja pegawai, pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai, pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai dan pengaruh peran kepemimpinan, disiplin kerja dan motivasi kerja secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja pegawai. Penelitian yang dilakukan bersifat deskriptif, dengan jumlah populasi pegawai sebanyak 144 orang dan probability sampling dijadikan teknik pengambilan sampel. Besarnya sampel yang digunakan mengacu pada rumus dari Slovin, sehingga sampel yang didapat berjumlah 60 orang. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh peran kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja pegawai, terdapat pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai, terdapat pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai dan terdapat pengaruh antara peran kepemimpinan, disiplin kerja dan motivasi kerja secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja pegawai di Sekretariat Daerah Kota Serang - Banten. Secara spesifik perlu adanya perbaikan pada keseluruhan komponen peran kepemimpinan, disiplin kerja dan motivasi kerja di Sekretariat Daerah Kota Serang – Banten sehingga produktivitas kinerja pegawai menjadi meningkat.
