Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the role of extrinsic motivation in teacher well-being. This study used a correlational quantitative approach with a cross-sectional method. The sampling technique used an cluster sampling method with a total of 326 PAUD teacher respondents in Jabodetabek. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale using the Teacher Well-Being Scale (TWBS) adaptation measurement tool from Collie et al., (2015), as well as the Motivational Orientations to Teach Survey (MOT-S) from Sinclair (2008). The data analysis technique used simple linear regression. Based on data analysis, the results in the study showed a sig value of 0.000 <0.05 and an R square value of 0.288. It can be concluded that extrinsic motivation plays a role in teacher well-being by 28.8%, the rest is influenced by other factors. Educational background, income, teacher status (certification/not yet certified) and employment status are demographic variables that distinguish extrinsic motivation and teacher well-being of PAUD teachers in Jabodetabek. Keywords : Extrinsic Motivation, Teacher well-being, Early Childhood Education Teacher Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji peran extrinsic motivation dalam teacher well-being. Kata Kunci : Extrinsic Motivation, Teacher Well-being, guru PAUD
