Abstract

This study aims to find out how the self-esteem picture of young women who become factory workers. Self-esteem is an individual's overall subjective capacity for self-meaning or personal worth. Young women who become factory workers is an individual's decision about herself to stop doing the habit by deciding to become a worker when she is still a teenager. The subjects in this study were 3 young women who became factory workers. The data collection technique used is observational interviews and assisted by research tools such as interview guidelines, informed consent, and recorders. This research design uses qualitative methods with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the study can be concluded when the first time young women work from the three subjects feel sad, hopeless, and happy because the decisions of each subject are different, in addition to supporting factors that affect self-esteem in subjects such as differences in economic level, employment status, and education level. Support from family, environment, and friends makes all subjects can be heartened to continue to be eager to continue their lives and continue to be responsible with their work. This researcher is expected to be a reference for similar further research. Keywords: Self-esteem, Adolescent Girls, Qualitative Descriptive. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran self-esteem remaja putri yang menjadi buruh pabrik. Self-esteem merupakan kapasitas subjektif individu secara keseluruhan tentang arti diri sendiri atau nilai pribadi. Remaja putri yang menjadi buruh pabrik merupakan keputusan individu akan dirinya untuk berhenti melakukan kebiasaan dengan memutuskan untuk menjadi pekerja di waktu yang tergolong masih remaja. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdari 3 subjek remaja putri yang menjadi buruh pabrik. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara observasi dan dibantu alat penelitian seperti pedoman wawancara, informed consent, dan recorder. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan saat pertama kali remaja putri bekerja dari ketiga subjek merasa sedih, putus asa, dan bahagia karena keputusan masing-masing dari setiap subjek berbeda, selain itu faktor pendukung yang mempengaruhi self-esteem pada subjek seperti perbedaan tingkat ekonomi, status pekerjaan, dan tingkat pendidikan. Dukungan dari keluarga, lingkungan, dan teman-teman membuat seluruh subjek dapat berbesar hati untuk terus bersemangat melanjutkan hidupnya dan terus bertanggung jawab dengan pekerjaannya. Peneliti ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi penelitian lanjutan yang sejenis. Kata Kunci: Self-esteem, Remaja Putri, Kualitatif Deskriptif.
