Abstract

The literature review consists of ten previous studies. The theoretical studies in this research are Communication, New Media, Social Media, Instagram, Beauty, Public Relations, Encoding – Decoding, Meaning and Reception Analysis. In the encodingdecoding process, audiences can be categorized into 3 positions, namely, Dominant Hegemony, Negotiated, and Oppositional. This research uses a constructivist research paradigm, with a qualitative approach through reception analysis research methods. The research subjects consisted of 5 informants. Data collection techniques include primary data in the form of interviews and observations. Secondary data in the form of literature studies in the form of internet searching as a data search technique to collect data regarding additional information about Camille Beauty. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. and data validity techniques using source triangulation and method triangulation. The research results show that the audience's meaning of the concept of beauty on Camille Beauty's Instagram account varies, including dominant, negotiation and opposition. Keywords: Audience Meaning, Receptions Analysis, New Media, Instagram. Tinjauan pustaka terdiri dari sepuluh penelitian terdahulu. Kajian teoritis dalam penelitian ini adalah Komunikasi, New Media, Media Sosial, Instagram, Kecantikan, Public Relations, Encoding – Decoding, Pemaknaan dan Analisis Resepsi. Pada proses encoding-decoding khalayak dapat dikategorikan ke dalam 3 posisi yaitu, Dominant Hegemoni, Negotiated, dan Oppositional. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma penelitian konstruktivis, dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode penelitian analisis resepsi. Adapun subjek penelitian terdiri dari 5 Informan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi data primer berupa wawancara dan observasi. Data sekunder berupa kajian literatur berupa internet searching sebagai teknik pencarian data untuk mengumpulkan data seputar informasi tambahan mengenai Camille Beauty. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. dan teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pemaknaan Khalayak Terhadap Konsep Cantik Pada Akun Instagram Camille Beauty bervariasi baik itu dominan, negosiasi dan oposisi Kata Kunci : Pemaknaan Khalayak, Analisis Resepsi, Media Baru, Instagram
