Abstract
Online game play is increasingly in demand by all groups of children, adolescents to adults, although most are dominated by teenagers. Many teenagers who are still in education, tend to use their free time to play online games rather than being used to study in an effort to improve their learning achievement. This study aims to determine the relationship between playing online game mobile legend with academic achievement. This study takes the subject of research, namely students of SMAN 84 West Jakarta. This type of research is quantitative research. The sample is determined by saturated sampling technique, the research data obtained through a questionnaire instrument which is then performed correlation analysis with the help of the SPSS program. The results of data analysis show that the playing online game mobile legend has a significant negative relationship with academic achievement with a correlation coefficient of -0.466. Keywords: Online Game, Mobile Legend, Academic Achievement Permainan game online semakin diminati oleh semua kalangan dari anakanak, remaja sampai dewasa, meskipun sebagian besar didominasi oleh remaja. Banyak remaja yang masih dalam masa pendidikan, cenderung lebih menggunakan waktu luangnya untuk bermain online game dari pada digunakan untuk belajar sebagai upaya meningkatkan prestasi belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan bermain online game mobile legend dengan prestasi akademik. Penelitian ini mengambil subjek penelitian yaitu siswa SMAN 84 Jakarta Barat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik sampling jenuh, data penelitian diperoleh melalui instrumen kuesioner yang kemudian dilakukan analisis korelasi dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa bermain online game mobile legend memiliki hubungan negatif yang signifikan dengan prestasi akademik dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,466.
