Abstract
Josee The Tiger And The Fish Anime Movie shows the life of Josee as a disabled character in society, this anime represents the life of disability in Josee's daily life. This concerns the life of disability in Japanese society represented in the anime film. This research uses the study of representation in film and Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotics. The research methodology used is the Ferdinand De Saussure Semiotics analysis method, the paradigm in this research is the Constructivism paradigm. Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotics with a descriptive qualitative approach based on the dichotomy of signifier and signified in a sign. The research results obtained from the film Josee The Tiger And The Fish based on the Representation of the Life of Disabled Characters see how disabled characters are represented in the film Josee The Tiger And The Fish in Japan Society Keywords: Semiotics, Representation, Film, Disabled, Anime Film Anime Josee The Tiger And The Fish memperlihatkan kehidupan Josee sebagai karakter difabel dalam kehidupan Masyarakat, anime ini merepresentasikan kehidupan difabel dalam kehidupan sehari – hari Josee. Hal ini menyangkut pada kehidupan difabel dalam Masyarakat jepang yang direpresentasikan dalam film anime tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian representasi dalam film dan semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure. Metodologi Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode analisis Semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure, paradigma dalam penelitian ini adalah paradigma Konstruktivisme. Semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif berdasarkan dikotomi penanda dan petanda dalam sebuah tanda. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari film Josee The Tiger And The Fish berdasarkan Representasi Kehidupan Karakter Difabel melihat bagaimana karakter difabel direpresentasikan pada film Josee The Tiger And The Fish dalam Masyarakat Jepang Kata Kunci: Semiotika, Representasi, Film, Difabel, Anime
