Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between psychological well being and anxiety about the death of the corona virus disease (covid-19). The sampling technique in this study used accidental sampling. The subjects of this study were adolescents and adults aged 13–60 years, totaling 301 people living in Jabodetabek. The measuring instruments used in this study were the PWBS (psychological well being scale) compiled by Ryff (1995) to measure psychological well-being, and the DAS (death anxiety scale) compiled by Templer (1970) to measure death anxiety. The results of the spearment correlation test in this study showed a relationship between psychological well-being and death anxiety by obtaining a value of R = -0.142 (p = 0.014). the level of anxiety experienced. Kata Kunci : Death Anxiety, Psychological Well Being, Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan psychological well being dengan kecemasan kematian corona virus disease (covid-19). Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan accidental sampling. Subjek penelitian ini adalah remaja dan dewasa yang berusia 13–60 tahun yang berjumlah 301 orang berdomisili di Jabodetabek. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah PWBS (psychological well being scale) yang disusun oleh Ryff (1995) untuk mengukur kesejahteraan psikologis, dan DAS (death anxiety scale) disusun oleh Templer (1970) untuk mengukur kecemasan kematian. Hasil uji korelasi spearment pada penelitian ini menunjukan adanya hubungan antara kesejahteraan psikologis dan kecemasan kematian dengan memperoleh nilai R=-0.142 (p=0.014), Korelasi negatif antara psychological well being dan death anxiety pada hal ini menunjukan bahwa semakin kesejahteraan psikologis, maka semakin rendah tingkat kecemasan yang dialami.
