Abstract

In making the documentary film“WHO IS JAKMANIA?” esearchers are always editors focusing on the part of image editing in composing images based on the script made by the Director and the results of the images taken by the Director of Photography. In making the documentary film “WHO IS JAKMANIA?” The editor combines the Rhytm Montage editing technique with Tonal Montage, Rhytm montage is used when combining images with voice over and interviews so that continuous images and images match what the speakers are talking about, while Tonal Montage is used to bring the audience to more feel the films that we show and are supported by a back sound that adapts to what is being told in the film This editing concept makes it easier for editors to maintain the continuity of images and stories in documentary films according to facts that occur in the field. Keyword : Film Dokumenter, Penyuntingan Gambar, Film Suporter , “WHO IS JAKMANIA?” Dalam pembuatan film dokumenter “WHO IS JAKMANIA?” peneliti selalu editor memfokuskan pada bagian penyuntingan gambar dalam merangkai gambar berdasarkan naskah yang dibuat oleh Director dan hasil gambar yang diambil oleh Director of Photography. Dalam pembuatan film dokumenter “WHO IS JAKMANIA?” editor menggabungkan teknik editing Rhytm Montage dengan Tonal Montage, Rhytm montage digunakan pada saat menggabungkan gambar-gambar dengan voice over dan wawancara agar terlihat gambar berkesinambungan serta gambar-gambar yang sesuai dengan apa yang sedang dibicarakan oleh narasumber, sedangkan Tonal Montage untuk membawa penonton untuk lebih merasakan pada film yang kami tayangkan dan didukung oleh backsound yang menyesuaikan dengan apa yang sedang diceritakan pada film. Konsep editing ini memudahkan editor dalam mempertahankan kesinambungan gambar dan cerita dalam film dokumenter sesuai fakta yang terjadi dilapangan.
