Abstract
Knowledge management is one of the main methods of a higher education institution to develop knowledge-based innovation. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, research performance in the social and economic fields in Indonesia decreased by 433%. One of the Colleges of Economics in Tangerang is currently making changes to improve the research performance of lecturers who have various constraints from the competence of existing lecturers, the current wage strategy, and low motivation. This study aims to find out how knowledge management processes consisting of knowledge discovery, knowledge capture, knowledge sharing, and knowledge application are used in research; the role of the knowledge management component consisting of people, process, and technology in each process; constraints in the knowledge management process; as well as knowledge management strategies that can be implemented by the College of Economics. The research method used is qualitative research using the NVivo software analysis tool. The results of this study are in the form of a four-stage strategy consisting of the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation stages that can be implemented by the College of Economics to support efforts to improve lecturer research performance. The formulation stage includes guaranteeing the availability and clarity of policies, road maps and research SOPs, as well as a reward & punishment system. The implementation stage is to provide a tool in the form of a data repository for lecturers to carry out knowledge management processes, and ensure that leaders set an example by playing an active role in using the tool. The monitoring and evaluation phase is used to ensure that ongoing implementation does not deviate from the plan, and to ensure that the strategies provided are useful for improving lecturer research. Keywords: Knowledge Management, College of Economics, research performance Knowledge management merupakan salah satu metode utama sebuah institusi pendidikan tinggi untuk mengembangkan inovasi berbasis pengetahuan. Selama Pandemi COVID-19, performa penelitian di bidang sosial dan ekonomi di Indonesia mengalami penurunan sebesar 433%. Salah satu Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi di Tangerang tengah melakukan perubahan untuk meningkatkan kinerja penelitian dosen memiliki kendala yang beragam dari kompetensi dosen yang ada, strategi pengupahan saat ini, serta motivasi yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses-proses knowledge management yang terdiri dari knowledge discovery, knowledge capture, knowledge sharing, dan knowledge application digunakan dalam penelitian; peran komponen knowledge management yang terdiri dari people, process, dan technology pada masing-masing proses; kendala-kendala dalam proses knowledge management; serta strategi knowledge management yang dapat diterapkan oleh Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan alat bantu analisis perangkat lunak NVivo. Hasil penelitian ini berupa strategi empat tahap yang terdiri dari tahap perumusan, penerapan, pemantauan, dan evaluasi yang dapat diterapkan oleh Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi untuk mendukung upaya meningkatkan kinerja penelitian dosen. Tahap perumusan meliputi penjaminan ketersediaan dan kejelasan kebijakan, road map, dan SOP penelitian, serta sistem reward & punishment. Tahap penerapan adalah memberikan alat berupa repositori data untuk para dosen melakukan proses-proses knowledge management, dan memastikan pimpinan memberikan contoh dengan berperan aktif dalam penggunaan alat tersebut. Tahap pemantauan dan evaluasi digunakan untuk menjaga agar penerapan yang berjalan tidak melenceng dari rencana, dan memastikan strategi yang diberikan berguna bagi peningkatan penelitian dosen.
