Abstract

The President is a state leader who is respected by his citizens, a President must have good communication skills in order to gain the conscience and sympathy of his citizens. Communication carried out by the President is one way of conveying information through communicators and communicants who aim to convey a message. Semiotics is a branch of science that deals with the study of signs and everything related to signs. The concept of this sign is to see that meaning arises when there is a relationship or relationship between the absentee (Signified) and the sign (Signifier). The theory used is Roland Barthes' theory which consists of denotations, connotations, and myths which aim to find a meaning and image in the President's Corner program. This research is based on the President's communication concept in the episode "The Story Behind Jokowi's Lens". The results of this study aim to analyze President Jokowi's activities in the "Blusukan" program through the scenes contained in the President's Corner program. With this the President gets positive value from the community because of his great human values and his sincerity in helping others in need. Keyword : President, Roland Barthes, Communication, President’s Corner and Program Presiden merupakan pemimpin negara yang dihormati oleh warganya, seorang Presiden harus memiliki kemampuan komunikasi yang bagus agar bisa mendapatkan nurani dan simpati warganya. Komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh Presiden yaitu merupakan salah satu cara menyampaikan informasi melalui komunikator dan komunikan yang bertujuan untuk menyampaikan sebuah pesan. Semiotika adalah cabang ilmu yang berurusan dengan pengkajian tanda dan segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan tanda. Konsep tanda ini untuk melihat bahwa makna muncul ketika ada hubungan atau hubungan antara absentia (Signified) dan tanda (Signifier). Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Roland Barthes yang terdiri dari denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos yang bertujuan untuk menemukan suatu makna dan gambar dalam program President's Corner. Penelitian ini berlandaskan pada konsep komunikasi Presiden di episode “Kisah Di Balik Lensa Jokowi”. Hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kegiatan Presiden Jokowi dalam program “Blusukan” melalui scene yang terdapat dalam program President’s Corner. Dengan ini Presiden mendapatkan nilai positif dari masyarakat karena nilai kemanusiannya yang besar dan keihklasannya dalam membantu sesama yang membutuhkan.
