Abstract

Violetta rescue is a stray cat shelter in Pekanbaru which has an Instagram account with 58.4 thousand Followers. Violetta's communication style in establishing communication with her Followers is quite successful in attracting the attention of domestic and international cat lovers. This study aims to see and analyze fantasy themes that exist in the @Violettarescue community. The initial theory in this study was group communication which later developed a theory from Ernest Bormann who called his theory as Fantasy Theme Analysis (FTA). Fantasy in this theory is a story or joke that contains or expresses emotion. The four key terms in this theory are: fantasy theme, fantasy chain, fantasy type and rhetorical vision. The fantasy theme obtained is related to the image formed by the community. So that the community builds a positive image through the fantasy theme. The paradigm in this study is Constructivism with a qualitative descriptive research method and consists of 4 research subjects. The data processing technique is done by interview and observation. Data analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction and data presentation. Technique of data validity with data triangulation. The results of this study found three fantasy themes, namely Ken VR, Proplan Donation and the names of VR cats. Two fantasy Chains namely Endorse the cat @Violettarescue and the VR shelter cat seductive and Happy. Researchers found two types of fantasy, namely laughter and gratitude and rhetorical vision. Fantasy themes in the community become public fantasy through posts on Instagram @Violettarescue. The conclusion of this research is that fantasy themes within the community have succeeded in building a positive image for the @Violettarescue shelter and building a larger and more beneficial community for stray cat lovers outside the shelter. Keywords : Communication, Fantasy Theme, Image, Cat, Violetta rescue Violetta rescue merupakan shelter kucing liar di Pekanbaru yang memiliki akun instagram dengan jumlah Followers sebanyak 58,4 ribu. Gaya komunikasi Violetta dalam membangun komunikasi dengan Followersnya cukup sukses menarik perhatian para Pecinta kucing baik domestic maupun internasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan menganalisis tema-tema fantasi yang ada didalam komunitas @Violettarescue. Teori awal dalam penelitian ini adalah komunikasi kelompok yang kemudian berkembang sebuah teori dari Ernest Bormann yang meyebut teorinya dengan istilah Fantasy Theme Analysis (FTA), Fantasi dalam teori ini adalah cerita atau lelucon yang mengandung atau mengungkapkan emosi. Empat istilah kunci dalam teori ini adalah : Tema fantasi, Rantai Fantasi, Tipe Fantasi dan Visi Retoris. Tema fantasi yang didapat dihubungkan dengan citra yang dibentuk oleh komunitas, sehingga komunitas membangun citra positif melalui tema fantasi tersebut. Paradigma dalam penelitian ini adalah Konstruktivisme dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan terdiri dari 4 subyek penelitian. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi. Teknik analisis data melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data dan penyajian data. Teknik keabsahan data dengan triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan tiga tema fantasi yaitu Ken VR, Donasi Proplan dan nama-nama kucing VR. Dua Rantai fantasi yaitu Endorse kucing @Violettarescue dan Kucing dishelter VR menggoda dan Bahagia. Peneliti menemukan dua tipe fantasi yaitu tertawa dan besryukur dan visi retoris Tema fantasi didalam komunitas menjadi fantasi publik melalui postingan yang ada diInstagram @Violettarescue. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Tema-tema fantasi didalam komunitas berhasil membangun citra positif bagi shelter @Violettarescue dan membangun komunitas menjadi lebih besar dan bermanfaat bagi Pecinta kucing liar diluar shelter.
