Abstract

Personal branding merupakan bagian yang sangat penting sebagai strategi untuk menjadikan seseorang sukses berkarir sebagai public figure. Meskipun, tidak banyak yang memahami dan mengerti penting menciptakan personal branding yang baik khususnya melalui media sosial yang semua orang gunakan dan mudah untuk dimanfaatkan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukannya penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimana online personal branding yang dilaksanakan bagi seorang Makeup artist dalam berkarir khususnya melalui media sosial Instagram. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan implementasi online personal branding Priscilla sebagai seorang makeup artist di Instagramnya. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, adapun responden yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni 6 orang yang dibagi menjadi narasumber inti dan pendukung. Metode pengumpulan data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara. Berdasarkan penelitian yang diperoleh hasil bahwa personal branding yang dilaksanakan oleh Priscilla selaku makeup artist sukses dan berhasil dalam mengimplementasikan online personal branding berdasarkan konsep online personal branding dari Ryan M Frischmann yang terdiri dari tiga elemen utama yaitu skill set, aura dan identity selain ketiga elemen ini juga Priscilla memenuhi tiga elemen lainnya berupa persinggungan dari ketiga elemen utama yaitu, getting found, brand experience, dan first impression. Kata Kunci: Online Personal Branding, Makeup Artist, Instagram Personal branding is a very important part as a strategy to make someone succeed in a career as a public figure. Although, not many understand and understand the importance of creating good personal branding, especially through social media that everyone uses and is easy to use. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to find out how online personal branding is carried out for a makeup artist in a career, especially through Instagram social media. The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the implementation of Priscilla's online personal branding as a makeup artist on her Instagram. In this study, qualitative methods with a descriptive approach were used, as for the respondents used in this study, namely 6 people who were divided into core and supporting speakers. The data collection method of this study was carried out by interviews. Based on the research obtained, the results that personal branding carried out by Priscilla as a makeup artist was successful and successful in implementing online personal branding based on the concept of online personal branding from Ryan M Frischmann which consisted of three main elements, namely skill set, aura and identity in addition to these three elements, Priscilla also fulfilled three other elements in the form of intersection of the three main elements namely, Getting found, brand experience, and first impression.
