Abstract

In the industrial world there will always be competition. Consumer satisfaction is the main factor that can determine the victory in the competition in the industrial world. Consumer satisfaction can be achieved one of them by maintaining the quality of the resulting product. This is the underlying PT. XYZ to continue to improve quality. This research focused on decreasing reject level contained in milk can production process Ø 502 X 603 with Quality Control Circle (QCC) method. The Quality Control Circle (QCC) method is based on a problem solving methodology with PDCA cycle approach, that is: Plan (improvement plan), Do (implement), Check (check), Action (make improvements). which combines the 7 tools method as well as other process improvement approaches. Based on the results obtained oss bubble, voide / empty as the largest number of rejects is as much as 15,200 pcs or 38.59% of the total reject. From Fishbone Diagram analysis obtained the causes of Oss bubble, voide / empty are: unstable OSS viscosity factor, incorrect setting procedure, operator capability is lacking, and engine condition is abnormal. Therefore, it is necessary to make improvements to reduce the number of rejects. Keywords: QCC (Quality Circle Control), 7 QC Tools, Fishbone Diagram, PDCA (Plan-Do-Check- Action) Pada dunia industri akan selalu terdapat persaingan. Kepuasan konsumen menjadi faktor utama yang mampu menentukan kemenangan dalam persaingan di dunia industri. Kepuasan konsumen dapat diraih salah satunya dengan menjaga kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Hal inilah yang mendasari PT. XYZ untuk terus melakukan perbaikan kualitas. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada penurunan tingkat reject yang terdapat pada proses produksi Milk Can Ø 502 X 603 dengan metode Quality Control Circle (QCC). Metode Quality Control Circle (QCC) ini disusun berdasarkan sebuah metodologi penyelesaian masalah dengan pendekatan siklus PDCA, yaitu: Plan (rencana perbaikan), Do (melaksanakan), Check (memeriksa), Action (melakukan perbaikan). yang menggabungkan metode 7 tools serta pendekatan perbaikan proses yang lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh Oss bubble, voide/empty sebagai jumlah reject terbesar yaitu sebanyak 15.200 pcs atau 38,59% dari total reject keseluruhan. Dari analisa Fishbone Diagram didapat penyebab dari Oss bubble, voide/empty yaitu: faktor viscositas OSS yang tidak stabil, Prosedur setting yang tidak tepat, kemampuan Operator kurang, dan kondisi mesin tidak normal. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan perbaikan guna mengurangi jumlah reject. Kata kunci: QCC (Quality Circle Control), 7 QC Tools, Fishbone Diagram, PDCA (Plan-Do-Check- Action)
