Abstract

A shopping center or commonly called a shopping mall/shopping street is a shopping center designed with a modern concept following the times. Shopping mall is an arena which has the meaning of a large place in a building consisting of various kinds of shops, both wholesale stores, convenience stores, and other shops such as places to eat/cafe etc. In keeping up with the modern era as it is today, shopping centers do not only function for shopping, but also as a place for recreation, socializing for the community with family, relatives, and business partners. Now the activities of shopping centers have been connected with hotel activities where the two buildings are integrated with each other so that the needs of the two activities can meet each other. The design of the shopping mall building which is integrated with hotel expected to meet the needs of the community in one place so as to reduce the use of motorized vehicles, paying attention to the convenience of users who have different characters in each function, especially in relation to privacy, in terms of circulation, mass planning, and spatial planning. Pusat perbelanjaan atau yang biasa disebut shopping mall/shopping street merupakan salah satu pusat perbelanjaan yang dirancang dengan konsep modern mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Shopping mall merupakan suatu arena yang memiliki arti tempat yang luas dalam suatu bangunan yang terdiri dari berbagai macam toko, baik toko grosir, toko serba ada, maupun toko-toko yang lainnya seperti tempat makan/cafe dll. Dalam mengikuti perkembangan zaman yang serba modern seperti saat ini, pusat perbelajaan tidak sekedar berfungsi untuk berbelanja saja, namun juga sebagai tempat rekreasi, bersosialisasi bagi masyarakat baik dengan keluarga, kerabat, maupun rekan bisnis. Kini kegiatan pusat perbelanjaan sudah banyak terhubung dengan kegiatan hotel yang dimana kedua bangunan nya saling terintegrasi agar kebutuhan dari kedua kegiatan tersebut dapat saling memenuhi. Perancangan bangunan shopping mall yang terintegrasi dengan hotel ini diharapkan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat dalam satu wadah sehingga mengurangi penggunaan kendaraan bermotor, memperhatikan kenyamanan pengguna yang berbeda karakter pada masing-masing fungsi terutama kaitannya dengan privasi, ditinjau dari sirkulasi, tata massa, dan tata ruang.
