Abstract

Parents feel proud when they tell their children who are smart because they are able to know the names of objects, animals or fruits in a foreign language and know various other knowledge. At the age of 5-7 years is the right age to learn many things because at this time, the brain is experiencing very rapid (explosive) development, children have the opportunity to develop their full potential, including language, cognitive and physical / motor skills. At this age children can read, write and count. Educational media "U-Turn" is a media that invites children to learn while playing so learning becomes more fun. This media stimulates children to be diligent in reading, invites children to interact with each other, involves motor and several other goals in this media that apply the three domains of bloom taxonomy (cognitive, affective and psychomotor). By way of competition is one way to increase the enthusiasm of learning in children. Keywords: Educational Media, Competition, Children 5-7 years old, Learning While Playing, Learning Spirit Orang tua merasa bangga ketika menceritakan anaknya yang pintar karena mampu mengetahui nama benda, hewan atau buah dalam bahasa asing dan mengetahui berbagai pengetahuan lainnya. Pada usia 5 – 7 tahun adalah usia yang tepat untuk belajar banyak hal karena pada masa ini, otak sedang mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat (eksplosif), anak memiliki kesempatan untuk mengembangkan seluruh potensinya, meliputi kemampuan berbahasa, kognitif dan fisik/motorik. Pada usia ini anak sudah dapat membaca, menulis dan berhitung. Media Edukasi “U-Turn” adalah media yang mengajak anak untuk belajar sambil bermain sehingga belajar menjadi lebih menyenangkan. Media ini merangsang anak untuk rajin membaca, mengajak anak untuk berinteraksi satu sama lain, melibatkan motorik dan beberapa tujuan lainnya pada media ini yang menerapkan ketiga ranah taksonomi bloom (kognitif, afekif dan psikomotorik). Dengan cara kompetisi merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan semangat belajar pada anak. Kata Kunci: Media Edukasi, Kompetisi, Anak usia 5 – 7 tahun, Belajar Sambil Bermain, Semangat Belajar
