Abstract

The market is the place where the main economic activity occurs in an area, but in fact there are many markets in the area whose conditions are quite apprehensive, such as stalls that are not maintained, dirty, smelly, and circulation is quite messy. As a result, the market began to be abandoned by the community due to the presence of supermarkets and shopping centers that are more feasible, safe and comfortable. According to data from the Indonesian Market Directory, the number of markets in Indonesia as of 2020 is 16,235, where according to the Indonesian Minister of Trade, Mr. Agus Suparmanto, only 46 markets owned by local governments from all provinces in Indonesia are SNI certified. It is a challenge to ensure that the market adheres to Indonesian National standards evenly and thoroughly.Therefore, it is our duty to create a market that is competitive and has professional management, so that it can encourage an increase in the national economy based on the people's economy towards advanced Indonesia. The chosen design object is the Adiwerna market which is a market located in the Tegal regency which is managed by the local government with rather worrying conditions.The existing problems can be resolved with design solutions that are in accordance with architectural science standards, and can also serve as a social space for the local community. Keywords: Market, Public space, Neo Vernacular, village roof Pasar merupakan tempat terjadinya kegiatan ekonomi utama pada suatu daerah, akan tetapi faktanya banyak sekali pasar yang ada didaerah kondisinya cukup memprihatinkan seperti los dan kios tidak terawat, kumuh, kotor, bau hingga sirkulasi yang cukup berantakan, akibatnya pasar mulai ditinggalkan oleh warga karena hadirnya tempat yang lebih layak, aman dan nyaman seperti mall maupun supermarket. Menurut data dari Direktori Pasar Indonesia jumlah pasar di Indonesia per tahun 2020 sebanyak 16.235, Dimana menurut Mentri Perdagangan Indonesia, Bapak Agus Suparmanto hanya 46 Pasar milik pemerintah daerah dari seluruh provinsi di Indonesia yang bersertifikat SNI. Hal itu menjadi tantangan untuk mengoptimalkan serta menjadikan pasar agar dapat berstandar Nasional Indonesia secara merata dan menyeluruh, oleh karena itu hal ini merupakan tugas kita untuk bersama-sama mewujudkan pasar yang berdaya saing dan memiliki pengelolaan profesional, sehingga bisa mendorong peningkatan ekonomi nasional yang berlandaskan ekonomi kerakyatan menuju Indonesia maju. Objek perancangan yang dipilih adalah pasar Adiwerna yang merupakan pasar yang berada dikabupaten Tegal yang dikelola oleh pemerintah daerah dengan kondisi yang cukup memperihatinkan, oleh karenanya dengan permasalahan yang ada dapat diatasi dengan solusi desain sesuai dengan standart ilmu arsitektur, dan juga dapat menjadi ruang sosial bagi masyarakat setempat.
