Abstract
Petamburan Flats are flats programmed by the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, based on Governor Decree No. 122 of 1997. The project is aimed at tackling an environment that is considered slum by the government in the area. According to Law Number 1/2011 concerning Housing and Settlement Areas, slums are settlements that are unfit for habitation because of the disorder of buildings, the high level of building density, and the quality of the buildings and facilities and infrastructure that do not meet the requirements. Slums are a problem faced by almost all big cities in Indonesia, even big cities in other developing countries. The application of biophilic designs to flats can be realized by implementing biophilic design patterns on important aspects of the design process such as residential units, mass composition, vegetation management and utility systems. Keywords: Biophilic Architecture, Flats. Rusun Petamburan adalah rumah susun yang diprogramkan Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta, berdasarkan Keputusan Gubernur Nomor 122 Tahun 1997. Proyek tersebut ditujukan untuk menanggulangi lingkungan yang dianggap kumuh oleh pemerintah di area tersebut. Menurut UU Nomor 1/2011 tentang Perumahan dan Kawasan Permukiman, permukiman kumuh merupakan permukiman yang tidak layak huni karena ketidakaturan bangunan, tingkat kepadatan bangunan yang tinggi, dan kualitas bangunan serta saranan dan prasarana yang tidak memenuhi syarat. Permukiman kumuh merupakan masalah yang dihadapi hampir semua kota - kota besar di Indonesia, bahkan kota - kota besar di negara berkembang lainnya. Penerapan desain biophilik pada rumah susun dapat di wujudkan dengan mengimplementasikan pola-pola desain biophilik pada aspek-aspek penting yang ada pada proses perancangan seperti unit hunian, gubahan massa, pengolahan vegetasi serta sistem utilitas Kata Kunci: Arsitektur Biophilic, Rumah Susun.
