Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between phubbing behavior and social interaction among students at SMK X Kawali in Ciamis, West Java. The total number of respondents in the study was 147 people, consisting of 109 men, 38 women, 40 of them were students of class IX, 52 students of class XI and 55 students of class XII. A total of 57 people were students from the TKJ major, 61 people came from the TKRO department and 29 other people came from the office department. Retrieval of data using probability sampling technique, by distributing questionnaires online. The social interaction measuring tool was adapted from Hakiki, Choirul's research, (2019) with a Cronbach alpha value > 0.720, and for the phubbing measuring tool adapted from Reza, I.F., (2021) research with a Cronbach alpha value > 0.8. Based on the results of the correlation test, a significance value of 0.420 (p> 0.05) was obtained with a correlation value of r = 0.067. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant relationship between phubbing and social interaction in students of SMK X Kawali Ciamis, West Java. Keyword : Phubbing , Social Interaction Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perilaku phubbing dengan interaksi sosial pada siswa dan siswi SMK X Kawali yang berada di Ciamis Jawa Barat. Total responden dalam penelitian berjumlah 147 orang, terdiri dari 109 orang laki-laki, 38 orang perempuan, 40 orang diantaranya siswa kelas IX, 52 orang siswa kelas XI dan 55 orang siswa kelas XII. Sebanyak 57 orang merupakan siswa dari jurusan TKJ, 61 orang berasal dari jurusan TKRO dan 29 orang lainnya berasal dari jurusan perkantoran. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik probability sampling, dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner secara online. Alat ukur interaksi sosial diadaptasi dari penelitiannya Hakiki, Choirul, (2019) dengen nilai cronbach alpha >0.720, dan untuk alat ukur phubbing diadaptasi dari penelitian Reza, I.F., (2021) dengen nilai cronbach alpha >0.8. Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0.420 (p>0.05) dengan nilai korelasi r=0.067. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara phubbing dengan interaksi sosial pada siswa/i SMK X Kawali Ciamis Jawa Barat.
