Abstract

This reseach is motivated by technological advances that have an influence on the development of the internet in Indionesia. Social media can be used as the media for the right promotion with a relatively small cost compared to other media, and also with social media people can update they status wherever and whenever. This study also aims to determine whether social media has a significant effect on interest in visiting a tourist destination. One of the social media that is currently attracted by everyone especially millennial and is used as media campaign or promotion is Instagram. This research is a quantitative research, data collection methods using survey methods, the research instrument is a questionnaire. The data analysis method uses Partial Least Square version 3.3.2. Based on the results of the test in this study showed social media Instagram has a significant effect on interest in visiting Keywords : Social Media Instagram, Visit Intention Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh kemajuan teknologi yang berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan internet di Indonesia. Media sosial dapat di jadikan sebagai media promosi yang tepat dengan biaya yang relative kecil dibandingkan dengan media lainnya, dan juga dengan media sosial orang dapat memperbaharui status dimanapun dan kapanpun. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah media sosial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap visit intention ke suatu destinasi wisata. Salah satu media sosial yang saat ini diminati dan dijadikan sarana promosi oleh semua orang khususnya kalangan milenial adalah Instagram. Jenis penelitian ini digolongkan sebagai penelitian kuantitatif, metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survey, dengan instrument penelitian adalah kuisioner. Metode analisis data menggunakan Partial Least Square versi 3.3.2. Berdasarkan hasi uji pada penelitian ini menunjukan media sosial Instagram berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Minat berkunjung.
