Abstract

Understanding the market in general is a meeting place between buyers and sellers where goods or services are traded. The definition of market in the KBBI is the power of supply and demand, where sellers who have the desire to exchange goods or services for money and buyers want to exchange money for goods or services. Solok Raya Market is the main market in Solok City. The market location is quite strategic in the middle of the city, besides serving the people of Solok City, it is also a shopping center for hinterland areas such as Nagari-nagari in Solok, Sawahlunto, and Sijunjung Regencies. The Pasar Raya Solok complex has existed since the Dutch era, with its former location only being around the Berok area of Solok City. The architecture of the Minangkabau traditional house is a cultural symbol for the Minang tribal community, the Gadang House is the name, which means the Big Tower. Big in this case is not a physical thing but more than that, Big in terms of its functions and roles related to customs. Apart from being a place to live, Rumah Gadang also functions to preserve cultural customs in their family environment. The size of the rumah gadang varies depending on the number of occupants of the house. Most rumah gadang have an odd number of rooms. Besides functioning as a place to live, the function of the rumah gadang is as a place for traditional and traditional activities, a place to carry out traditional ceremonies such as death, birth, marriage, establishing traditional greatness, a place of consensus and so on. The ratio of the bedroom space to the common room is 1/3 for the bedroom and 2/3 for the public interest. This comparison gives the meaning that the public interest takes precedence over private interests. The division of space in the Pasar Raya Solok gadang house is located in one of the regions of West Sumatra as a place for public activities, a comfortable, safe and adequate place will be the main choice for most buyers with the aim of but not eliminating the value of local wisdom. The design guidelines for this Solok market include sustainable, venous architecture, and social culture. Neovenicular architecture is a design concept that adapts to local wisdom. The most important thing about this concept is the positive response from the location itself. Of course there are things that must be considered both in terms of materials, air circulation, and natural lighting. However, this concept certainly does not forget the aesthetic side. The planning area of Pasar Raya Solok has an area of 24,690 m2 and 7,859 m2 which have been prepared and must follow the design rules that have been determined and the needs contained in the spatial program data, into a single unit with internal functions in a solid, efficient, but environmentally friendly manner. Keywords: Design, Traditional Market, Minang Architecture Pengertian Pasar secara umum adalah tempat bertemunya antara pembeli dan penjual dimana barang atau jasa di perjual belikan. Definisi pasar dalam KBBI adalah kekuatan penawaran dan permintaan, tempat penjual yang memiliki keinginan menukar barang atau jasa dengan uang dan pembeli ingin menukar uang dengan barang atau jasa. Pasar Raya Solok merupakan pasar utama yang ada di Kota Solok. Lokasi pasar yang cukup strategis di tengah kota, selain melayani masyarakat Kota Solok juga merupakan pusat perbelanjaan bagi daerah-daerah hinterland seperti Nagari-nagari di Kabupaten Solok, Sawahlunto, dan Sijunjung. Kompleks Pasar Raya Solok telah eksis sejak zaman Belanda, dengan lokasi dahulunya hanya berada di seputar kawasan Berok Kota Solok. Arsitektur rumah tradisional Minangkabau merupakan simbol budaya bagi masyarakat suku Minang, Rumah Gadang itulah namanya, yang mempunyai arti Gadang Besar. Besar dalam hal ini bukanlah hal fisik tetapi lebih dari itu, Besar dalam pengertian fungsi dan peranannya yang berkaitan dengan adat. Selain sebagai tempat tinggal Rumah gadang juga berfungsi untuk melastarikan adat budaya di dalam lingkungan keluarga mereka. Ukuran pada rumah gadang bervariasi tergantung dari banyaknya penghuni rumah tersebut. Kebanyakan rumah gadang mempunyai jumlah ruangan yang ganjil. Selain berfungsi sebagai tempat tinggal, fungsi rumah gadang adalah sebagai tempat kegiatan adat dan radisi, tempat melaksanakan seremonial adat seperti kematian, kelahiran, perkawinan, mendirikan kebesaran adat, tempat mufakat dan lainsebagainya. Perbandingan ruang tempat tidur dengan ruangan umum adalah 1/3 untuk ruangan tidur dan 2/3 untuk kepentingan umum. Perbandingan ini memberi makna bahwa kepentingan umum lebih diutamakan dari kepentingan pribadi. Pembagian ruang dalam rumah gadang Pasar Raya Solok ini terletak di salah satu Daerah Sumatra Barat sebagai tempat kegiatan umum, tempat yang nyaman, aman dan memadai akan menjadi pilihan utama bagi kebanyakan pembeli dengan tujuan untuk namun tidak menghilangka nilai kearifan lokalnya. Adapun design guideline pada pasar solok ini antara lain Sustainable, arsitektur venakuler, dan sosial budaya. Arsitektur neo venakuler merupakan konsep desain yang beradaptasi dengan kearifan lokal. Hal yang paling utama dari konsep ini yaitu respon positif dari tempat lokasi itu sendiri. Tentu ada hal hal yang harus diperhatikan baik dari segi material, sirkulasi udara, maupun pencahayaan alami. Meski demikian, konsep ini tentu tidak melupakan sisi estetika. Lahan perencanaan Pasar Raya Solok memiliki luas 24.690 m2 dan 7.859 m2 yang telah disiapkan dan harus mengikuti kaidah perancangan yang telah ditetapkan dan kebutuhan yang terdapat dalam data program ruang, menjadi satu kesatuan dengan fungsi-fungsi didalam secara solid, efisien, namun ramah terhadap lingkungan.
