Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of perceptions of social support on grit in overseas students. This study used a quantitative method with a causal regression analysis technique. The data collection technique uses a nonprobability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. Participants in this study totaled 112 students, with a total of 33 male and 79 female students. For data collection in this study. This study used two scales. The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support to measure perceptions of social support and the Grit-S Scale to measure grit. The results showed that there was a positive influence on the perception of social support on grit in overseas students as indicated by a significance value (p) of 0.008 <0.05 on the F test. This proved that the hypothesis proposed by the researchers was acceptable and was proven by the results of this study. Keywords: Perceived social support, Grit, Overseas Students Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi dukungan sosial terhadap grit pada mahasiswa perantauan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi sebab-akibat. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan teknik non probability sampling dengan metode purposive sampling. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 112 mahasiswa, dengan jumlah laki-laki 33 mahasiswa dan perempuan berjumlah 79 mahasiswa. Untuk pengambilan data pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan dua skala. Skala Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support untuk mengukur persepsi dukungan sosial dan Skala Grit-S untuk mengukur grit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif persepsi dukungan sosial terhadap grit pada mahasiswa perantauan yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi (p) 0,008 < 0,05 pada uji F. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan peneliti dapat diterima dan dibuktikan dengan hasil penelitian ini. Kata Kunci: Persepsi dukungan sosial, Grit, Mahasiswa Perantauan
