Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of return on equity, current ratio, debt to equity ratio and growth assets on the price book value of the company. Price book value is measured by market price per share divided by book value per share, return on equity is measured by net income after tax divided by total equity, current ratio is measured by current assets divided by current liabilities, debt to equity ratio is measured by total debt divided by total equity , growth assets are measured by the current year's total assets minus the previous year's total assets and divided by the previous year's total assets. The population in this study were manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014 – 2019 with a total of 12 companies. The research method used is causal research. By taking samples using the Purposive Sampling method. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS version 25 application. The results of this study show that return on equity and growth assets have a significant positive effect on price book value, current ratio does not significantly affect price book value and debt to equity ratio has no negative effect on price book value. Keywords : Return on Equity, Current ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Growth Asset, Price Book Value Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh return on equity, current ratio, debt to equity ratio dan growth asset terhadap price book value pada perusahaan. Price book value diukur dengan harga pasar per saham dibagi nilai buku per saham, return on equity diukur dengan laba bersih setelah pajak dibagi total ekuitas, current ratio diukur dengan current asset dibagi current liabilities, debt to equity ratio diukur dengan total hutang dibagi total ekuitas, growth asset di ukur dengan total aset tahun sekarang dikurang total aset tahun sebelumnya dan dibagi total aset tahun sebelumnya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan manufaktur sektor barang konsumsi di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2014 – 2019 sejumlah 12 perusahaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kausal. Dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan aplikasi SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan return on equity dan growth asset berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap price book value, current ratio tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap price book value dan debt to equity ratio tidak berpengaruh negatif terhadap price book value.
