Abstract

Avhath is a black metal band from Jakarta that was formed in 2012. Avhath has released dozens of singles and EPs from 2013. Their most recent release is called Felo De Se/Hallowed Ground which was released in February 2021. The year 2021 is also a year where COVID-19 virus is still high, increasing even. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the government to set up a new regulation called PPKM (Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat) to restrict social activity, resulting in many live event, including music concert, to be canceled. Which is unfortunate since concert or live event is one of the best methods to promote a new single or album. In this thesis, using social media as an alternative to live concert or even is the appropriate method to use. Using merchandise bundle as the main media, and using a promotion video and social media platform as the secondary media. The strategy that is used in this promotion/marketing and social media content is called the ABCD (attracting, believing, connecting, and doing) method, in an effort to boost the effectivity of the advertising. Kata Kunci: media promotion, merchandise, advertisement, music baru. Pada Tugas Akhir ini, Metode promosi melalui sosial media sebagai alternatif dari konser musik merupakan metode yang tepat untuk digunakan. Menggunakan bundle merchandise sebagai media utama, lalu untuk media pendukung, video promosi dan juga sosial media merupakan platform yang digunakan. Strategi iklan yang digunakan adalah iklan taktis serta menggunakan metode ABCD (attracting, believing, connecting dan doing) untuk konten sosial media, sebagai upaya dalam memaksimalkan efektifitas promosi.
