Abstract
TOD (Transit Oriented Development) is a residential concept that is integrated with the public transportation system that is currently being developed by the government to facilitate the mobility of people to destination locations, such as trains, MRT, LRT. TOD provides a variety of benefits ranging from lifestyle, environment to the economy. The concept of TOD development is one of them because it is caused by traffic jams. By using public transportation time will not be wasted on trips. In addition, TOD also aims to create more environmentally friendly housing. Because the use of public transportation will obviously reduce pollution from private vehicles. For the application of the TOD concept itself, a comfortable pedestrian and bicycle path should be available. Because one indicator of the success of the TOD concept is the reduced number of vehicles parked at public facilities and smoother traffic. Keywords: TOD (Transit Oriented Development), Public Transportation TOD (Transit Oriented Development) adalah konsep hunian yang terintegrasi dengan sistem transportasi publik yang saat ini dikembangkan oleh pemerintah untuk mempermudah mobilitas masyarakat ke lokasi tujuan, seperti kereta api, MRT, LRT. TOD memberikan berbagai manfaat mulai dari gaya hidup, lingkungan hingga secara ekonomi. Adapun konsep pengembangan TOD ini yaitu salah satunya karena disebabkan oleh kemacetan lalu lintas. Dengan menggunakan transportasi publik waktu tidak akan terbuang sia-sia di perjalanan.Selain itu, TOD juga bertujuan untuk menciptakan hunian yang lebih ramah lingkungan.Karena dengan penggunaan transportasi publik jelas akan mengurangi polusi yang berasal dari kendaraan pribadi. Untuk penerapan konsep TOD sendiri harus tersedia jalur untuk pejalan kaki dan sepeda yang cukup nyaman. Karena salah satu indikator keberhasilam konsep TOD adalah berkurangnya jumlah kendaraan yang parkir di fasilitas publik serta lalu lintas yang semakin lancar.
