Abstract

Computers have become the main tool in every activity. Not only for business applications, but also in daily activities of all companies. Research conducted at the marketing department of PT. EDI Indonesia oriented to goods preparation management, recording marketing tools, and presenting computerized information. The system that will be designed can facilitate the application process for marketing tools, recording the goods in and out, and testing the quality of goods. For that, it is necessary to optimize the use of computers for data information by designing an information system that is applied with PHP language using the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL database in order to solve existing problems and be able to answer the marketing department's needs. The method used in designing applications is System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). With this application, the distribution process of marketing tools becomes more effective and efficient. Key words: Inventory, marketing tools, PHP, CodeIgniter, MySQL Komputer telah menjadi alat utama dalam setiap aktivitas. Tidak hanya untuk aplikasi bisnis, tetapi juga dalam kegiatan sehari-hari dari setiap perusahaan. Penelitian dilakukan di bagian pemasaran PT. EDI Indonesia berorientasi pada manajemen persediaan barang, pencatatan marketing tool, dan penyajian informasi terkomputerisasi. Sistem yang akan dirancang dapat memfasilitasi proses aplikasi untuk alat pemasaran, mencatat barang masuk dan keluar, dan menguji kualitas barang yang saat ini masih dilakukan secara manual. Untuk itu, perlu mengoptimalkan penggunaan komputer untuk pengolahan data dengan merancang sistem informasi yang menggunakan dengan bahasa PHP menggunakan framework CodeIgniter dan database MySQL untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang ada dan dapat menjawab kebutuhan bagian marketing. Metode yang digunakan dalam merancang aplikasi adalah System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Dengan aplikasi ini, proses distribusi marketing tools menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien.
