Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis komunikasi antarpribadi antara mentor dan mentee dalam pelatihan kepenulisan. Tujuan penelitian adalah menjelaskan dan mengeksplorasi temuan penelitiaan berkenaan dengan komunikasi antarpribadi antara mentor dan mentee dalam keberhasilan penulisan buku ilmiah populer yang menjadi target pelatihan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus pada pelatihan daring yang diselenggarakan Dandelion Publisher. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan data dokumentasi pelatihan. Wawancara dilakukan pada informan kunci dan informan lainnya yang kemudian hasil wawancara tersebut diuji silang di antara para informan. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa komunikasi antarpribadi mentor dan mentee berkontribusi pada keberhasilan mentee dalam mencapai target pelatihan. Target pelatihan tersebut adalah mentee berhasil menulis satu buku siap terbit yang merupakan hasil konversi dari karya tulis ilmiah mentee. Buku ilmiah populer ini diterbitkan untuk sasaran pembaca umum (pembaca non-akademisi). Kata Kunci: komunikasi antarpribadi, mentoring, komunikasi mentor dan mentee. This research is analysing the interpersonal communication between mentor and mentee in a writing training. The objective of this research is to analyse in a descriptive way, as well as explorative one in finding the interpersonal communication between mentor and mentee in achieving the target of a writing training. The method used is a case study of an online writing training held by Dandelion Publisher. The data are collected by using the depth interview and using the document of the training. The depth interview is done with the key informant and other informants then the result of the interview is being cross-checked among the informants. The findings indicate that the way the interpersonal communication held between mentor and mentee contributes on the success of achieving the target of the training. The target of the training is that each participant (mentee) should be able to finish writing a popular scientific book which is converted from his/her research. The book itself will be published for the non-academic readers. Key Words: interpersonal communication, mentoring, communication of mentee and mentor.
