Abstract
The millennial generation in Indonesia has a naive personality. They describe themselves as kind, friendly but sad. The large population of the millennial generation is an important phenomenon that must be considered. Empirical data collected through Facebook using the empathy-based story method found that millennial employees will be more motivated if they are in a dynamic environment and flexible work, have good relationships with their colleagues and supervisors. This makes turn over intentions a problem that many companies still experience today, especially those with many millennial employees. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of employee relations programs in fostering employee motivation at PT Docotel Teknologi. The research paradigm used is post positivistic with qualitative descriptive research methods. Primary data were obtained from in-depth interviews with informants. Primary data were obtained from in-depth interviews with key informants Mrs. Iyan Nopiyanti as Manager of HC and GA, Endah as staff of the Human Capital Division, Yuke Henry and Dini Novianti as employees of PT Docotel Teknologi The result of this research is that PT Docotel Teknologi Employee relations activities are coordinated in one division, namely HR / GA Manager. Employee relations activities are coordinated by PT Docotel for employees, there are several activities such as annual, monthly, and even newly created events for celebrations or meetings such as workshops or internal or external talkshows. All of these activities have important points for the company and employees, of the overall company activities carried out by the company the most effective activities in fostering employee motivation are activities held together such as company gatherings. Keywords: Implementation, Organizational Communication, Internal Communication, Employee relations, Work Motivation Generasi milenial di Indonesia memiliki kepribadian yang naif. Mereka menggambarkan diri mereka sebagai orang yang baik hati, ramah tetapi pemurung. Jumlah penduduk generasi milenial yang besar merupakan fenomena penting itu harus diperhatikan. Data empiris yang dikumpulkan melalui Facebook menggunakan metode cerita berbasis empati ditemukan bahwa karyawan milenial akan semakin termotivasi jika berada dalam lingkungan yang dinamis dan pekerjaan fleksibel, memiliki hubungan yang baik dengan rekan kerja dan supervisor mereka. Hal ini membuat niat perputaran menjadi masalah yang masih banyak perusahaan pengalaman hari ini, terutama mereka yang memiliki banyak karyawan milenial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui impelementasi program employee relations dalam menumbuhkan motivasi kerja karyawan di PT Docotel Teknologi. Paradigma penelitian yang digunakan adalah post positivistik dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data primer diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam kepada narasumber. Data primer diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam dengan key informan Ibu Iyan Nopiyanti selaku Manager HC and GA, Endah selaku staff Divisi Human Capital, Yuke Henry dan Dini Novianti selaku Karyawan PT Docotel Teknologi Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Kegiatan Employee relations PT Docotel Teknologi di koordinasi di satu divisi yaitu HR/GA Manager. Kegiatan employee relations yang di koordinasi oleh PT Docotel bagi karyawan ada beberapa kegiatan seperti kegiatan tahunan, bulanan, bahkan acara yang yang baru dibuat dalam rangka perayaaan atau pertemuan seperti workshop ataupun talkshow internal maupun eksternal. Keseluruhan kegiatan tersebut mempunyai point – point penting bagi perusahaan dan karyawan, dari keseluruhan kegiatan perusahaan yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan kegiatan yang paling efektif dalam menumbuhkan motivasi karyawan yaitu kegiatan diadakan secara bersama-sama seperti gathering perusahaan.
