Abstract
Penelitian ini ditulis berdasarkan referensi mengenai Peran Public Relations, Counter Issue, New Media, serta Opini Publik. Website berita resmi Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta, beritajakarta.id hadir untuk menginformasikan tentang berbagai program kerja serta kebijakan Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Namun dalam implementasinya, tidak jarang Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta diterpa oleh isu yang timbul dari berbagai opini publik. Dalam mengatasinya, beritajakarta.id berperan dalam melakukan counter issue. Teori dan konsep untuk menjawab masalah penelitian ini yaitu Public Relations, counter issue, manajemen opini publik, serta konsep pemberitaan pada media online, serta media humas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan tipe penelitian deksriptif kualitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam dengan pihak-pihak terkait yang bertanggung jawab atas objek penelitian yang penulis teliti, dokumen serta arsip yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa peran pengelola website beritajakarta.id dalam melakukan counter issue adalah sebagai communication of technician di mana pengelola beritajakarta.id mengerjakan hal teknis dalam melakukan counter issue seperti membuat berita, foto, dan video dengan memegang teguh kode etik jurnalistik, memberikan pemberitaan melalui proses seleksi informasi berlipat, serta memberikan respon terhadap isu yang tidak benar. Saran penelitian, agar tim tracing berita tidak hanya fokus pada berita-berita online berbasis web, namun perlu memperhatikan berita viral melalui media sosial. Kata kunci: Public Relations, beritajakarta.id, Counter Issue, Peran This research was written based on references to the Role of Public Relations, Counter Issue, New Media, and Public Opinion. As the official news website of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, beritajakarta.id is here to provide information about various work programs and policies of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. However, in its implementation, it is not uncommon for the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta to be hit by issues that arise from various public opinions. In overcoming this, Beritajakarta.id plays a role in conducting a counter issue. Theories and concepts to answer this research problem are Public Relations, counter issues, public opinion management, as well as the concept of reporting on online media, as well as public relations media. This study uses a case study method with a qualitative descriptive research type. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews with related parties who are responsible for the object of research that the author examined, documents and archives related to this research. Beritajakarta.id in conducting counter issues is as a communication technician where the manager of beritajakarta.id works on technical matters in conducting counter issues such as making news, photos, and videos by adhering to the journalistic code of ethics, providing news through multiple information selection processes, and providing response to issues that are not true. Research suggestions, so that the news tracing team does not only focus on web-based online news, but needs to pay attention to viral news through social media.
