Abstract
The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze toward the role of the newcomer actors in the “Turah” film. This type of research is descriptive wit qualitative approach. Thus, the research report will contain excerpts of data for provide an overview of the presentation of the report. The data comes from in-depth interview script to research subject, namely the Director and Actor in the “Turah” film. The result of this research explain that the director‟s role in here is more visible in the casting process, which uses the casting type of temperament. In addition, the director‟s cleverness in adapting technical shooting with actor acting, which is the director who tend to let actors focus on their acting and the director adapting the different mediums for actors who previously played in the theater stage is adjusted to the mise en scene on the camera. Keywords: Director, Turah Film. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memaparkan dan menganalisis terhadap peran sutradara dalam mengarahkan aktor pendatang baru di film Turah. Tipe penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, Dengan demikian, laporan penelitian akan berisi kutipan-kutipan data untuk memberi gambaran penyajian laporan tersebut. Data tersebut berasal dari naskah wawancara mendalam kepada subjek penelitian yaitu Sutradara dan Aktor di film Turah. Hasil penelitian ini memaparkan bahwa peran sutradara di sini lebih terlihat pada proses casting, yang menggunakan tipe casting to emotional temperament. Selain itu kepintaran sutradara dalam menyesuaikan teknis pengambilan gambar dengan akting aktor, dimana sutradara yang cenderung membiarkan aktor fokus terhadap akting mereka dan sutradara meneyesuaikan medium yang berbeda bagi aktor yang sebelumnya bermain di panggung teater disesuaikan dengan mise en scene di kamera.
