Abstract

Maternal mortality (MMR) and infant mortality rates are still the main focus in many countries. Indonesia as a developing country has made efforts in the last 30 yearsto reduce maternal and infant mortality. Mother and Child Hospital (RSIA) is a special hospital that provides services to mothers, both mothers and mothers/women in reproductive problems and also services for children aged 0 to 18 years. The Special Hospital for Mothers and Children (RSIA) according to the Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 56 of 2014 has been classified as a special hospital. Another factor that causes maternal death is a lack of understanding of health facilities. There are still many pregnant women who prefer to give birth at a traditional birth attendant rather than in a hospital. Not a few pregnant women who do not want to check the condition of the womb in health facilities for various reasons. A supportive environment approach or therapeutic environment or therapeutic milieu is an environment that is intentionally structured, designed and maintained to be able to work with patients in ideal, dynamic and healing conditions. In other words, a supportive environment approach means that the building must function to fulfill the needs of all users, both physically and psychologically. Keywords: Hospital, Mother & Child, Therapeutic Angka kematian ibu (AKI) dan Angka Kematian Bayi masih menjadi fokus utama dibanyak negara. Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara berkembang sudah berupaya dalam 30 tahun terakhir untuk menekan angka kematian ibu dan bayi. Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak (RSIA) adalah rumah sakit khusus yang memberikan pelayanan pada ibu baik ibu maternal, maupun ibu /wanita pada masalah reproduksi dan juga pelayanan bagi anak-anak yang berumur antara 0 hingga 18 tahun. Rumah Sakit Khusus Ibu dan Anak (RSIA) menurut Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No.56 tahun 2014 sudah terlgolong dalam rumah sakit khusus. Faktor lain yang menjadi penyabab kematian pada ibu adalah pemahaman yang kurang tentang fasilitas kesehatan. Masih banyak ibu hamil yang lebih memilih untuk melahirkan di dukun beranak daripada di rumah sakit. Tidak sedikit pula ibu hamil yang tidak mau memeriksakan kondisi kandungannya di fasilitas – fasilitas kesehatan dengan berbagai macam alasan. Pendekatan supportive environtment atau therapeutic environment atau therapeutic milieu adalah lingkungan yang secara sengaja disusun, dirancang dan dipertahankan untuk dapat bekerja dengan pasien dalam keadaan yang ideal, dinamik dan menyembuhkan. Dengan kata lain pendekatan supportive environtment berarti bangunan harus berfungsi sebagai pemenuhan kebutuhan seluruh pengguna baik secara fisik maupun psikis.
