Abstract

Visualization of Poetry Anthology by W.S. Rendra is an information and entertainment media as an effort to increase the level of teenage literacy and appreciation of literary works, especially poetry. Anthology of poetry by old poet W.S. Rendra that was given the title "Alusi Merak Merah" designed by using illustrations that were trending and most colors that were liked by teenagers, especially women. The design is done by brainstorming to find a visual reference that is constructive but still based on the basic principles of design, so that an absolute visual concept will emerge.The visual concept used is an expressionist illustration, adapted to the character of adolescents and the selection of several poems of W.S. Rendra with the theme of romance.Illustrations are made using digital techniques, the use of colors and typography will be adjusted to the meaning and theme of each poem that has been studied before. Key Word : W.S. Rendra, Poetry, Teenager, Romance Visualiasi Antologi Puisi Karya W.S . Rendra adalah media informasi dan hiburan sebagai upaya meningkatkan tingkat literasi remaja serta apresiasi terhadap karya sastra khususnya puisi. Antologi puisi karya penyair lawas W.S. Rendra diberi judul “Alusi Merak Merah” dirancang dengan menggunakan ilustrasi yang sedang tren dan warna-warna yang disukai oleh remaja khususnya perempuan. Perancangan dilakukan dengan melakukan brainstorming guna mencari referensi visual yang membangun namun tetap dilandasi oleh prinsip-prinsip dasar Desain sehingga akan muncul suatu konsep visual yang absolut. Konsep visual yang digunakan adalah ilustrasi yang ekspresionis, disesuaikan dengan karakter remaja serta pemilihan beberapa puisi W.S. Rendra yang bertema romansa. Ilustrasi dibuat dengan menggunakan teknik digital, penggunaan warna serta tipografi akan disesuaikan dengan makna dan tema dari masing-masing puisi yang telah dikaji. Kata Kunci : W.S.
