Abstract

ABSTRAK Film dokumenter adalah upaya menceritakan kembali sebuah kejadian ataurealitas, menggunakan fakta dan data. Film dokumenter mengambil gambar kejadiannyata yang tidak dibuat-buat. Film dokumenter berupaya menceritakan kembali kenyataan pada suatu kejadian secara nyata berdasarkan fakta dan data yang ada. Pembuatan film dokumenter “Side Job and Primer Job” mengangkat nilai-nilai kehidupan Masyarakat Suku Baduy yang mengalami pergeseran budaya, dimana denganmasuknya teknologi membuat munculnya sumber pendapatan baru bagi mereka. Masyarakat Baduy Dalam yang pekerjaan utamanya bertani berladang kini memiliki profesi sampingan menjadi guide dan porter. Konsep dalam film dokumenter ini mengarah kepada yang didalamnya terdapat tokoh Baduy Dalam (ayah Nani dan ayahSarno) yang berprofesi sebagai guide demi memenuhi kebutuhan hidup mereka. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada bagaimana seorang Director of Photography mampumembuat sebuah tayangan film dokumenter secara professional yang mengacu padatahapan-tahapan yang harus dilalui dalam penataan gambar. Berdasarkan penelitian dan proses pembuatan skripsi aplikatif film dokumenter yang dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa : (1) Dalam proses pembuatan filmdokumenter “Side Job and Primer Job”, proses pembuatan dokumenter melalui tahapanmulai dari pra produksi, produksi, pasca produksi. (2) Satu pemikiran dan kerja samayang baik di dalam sebuah tim sangat dibutuhkan dalam membuat sebuah karya. Seperti hubungan, terutama antara Director of Photography dan Sutradara harus memiliki satupemahaman yang sama (3) Sebagai Director of Photography dalam film dokumenter ini menurut penulis membuat sebuah film akan menjadikan pengalaman untuk meningkatkankretifitas dalam pembuatan film. Film dokumenter ini menjadi tantangan penulis sebagai Director of Photogprahy karena memang sebelumnya penulis belum pernah Direct filmdokumenter. Kata Kunci : Film Dokumenter, Suku Baduy, Teknologi, Director of Photograpahy ABSTRAK Documentary film is an attempt to retell an event or reality, using facts and data. Documentary films shoot real events that are not made up. Documentary films attempt toretell the reality of a real event based on the facts and existing data. The making of thedocumentary film "Side Job and Primary Job" raised the values of the life of the BaduyTribe, which experienced a cultural shift, where the entry of technology created a newsource of income for them. The Baduy inner community, whose main occupation is farming, now have a sideprofession of being guides and porters. The concept in this documentary leads to thecharacter of Baduy Dalam (Nani's father and Sarno's father) who work as guides to fulfill their life needs. This research focuses on how a Director of Photography is able to makea documentary film in a professional which refers to the stages that must be passed in thearrangement of images. Based on the research and the process of making an applicative thesis for adocumentary film, it can be concluded that: (1) In the process of making the documentaryfilm "Side Job and Primary Job", the documentary making process goes through stages starting from pre-production, production, and post-production. (2) One thought and goodcooperation in a team is needed in making a work. Like the relationship, especiallybetween Director of Photography and the Director must have the same understanding (3) As a Director of Photography in this documentary, according to the author, making afilm will be an experience to increase creativity in filmmaking.
