Abstract

ABSTRAK Media massa sangat mempermudah masyrakat untuk mendaptakan dengmemberikan informasi. Banyak sarana media massa untuk memberikan danmendapatka pesan salah satunya adalah sarana film. Film adalah salah satu mediauntuk menyampaikan pesan dimana film juga bisa menjadi media untuk hiburan. Peran sutradara sangat penting dalam proses pembuatan film pendek, karena hal tersebut dapat mengsukseskan film pendek yang dibuat. Penulisberperan menjadi sutradara dalam pembuatan film pendek “All I Want”Permasalahan dalam menjadi sutradara adalah bagaimana caranya untukmengemas dan membuat konsep sebuah film pendek yang akan dibuat agar dapat menarik perhatian penonton. Pembuatan film pendek “ All I Want” ini memiliki tahapan mulai dari praproduksi, produksi hingga pasca produksi. Sutradara juga harus mengawasi kegiatan tahapan-tahapan tersebut agar konsep film yang akan dibuat sesuaii dengan rencana di awal. Berdasarkan proses pembuatan tugas akhir aplikatif film pendek yangdilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Sutrdara harus bisa membuat konsep filmpendek yang akan dibuat. (2) Kerja sama dengan team dan crew sangat dibutuhkan saat pembuatan film pendek “All I Want”. (3) Peran sutrdara harusmemiliki jiwa kepemimpinan agar dapat mengarahkan seluruh team yang berkerjadlam pembuatan film pendek. . Kata kunci: Film Pendek, Peran Sutrdara ABSTRACT The mass media makes it very easy for the public to get by providinginformation. There are many means of mass media to give and get messages, oneof which is film. Film is one of the media to convey messages where film can alsobe a medium for entertainment. The role of the director is very important in the process of making short films, because it can make short films successful. The author acts as a director inmaking the short film "All I Want". The problem in being a director is how topackage and conceptualize a short film that will be made in order to attract theattention of the audience. The making of the short film "All I Want" has stages ranging from preproduction, production to post-production. The director must also supervise theactivities of these stages so that the concept of the film that will be made is inaccordance with the plan at the beginning. Based on the process of making an applicative short film final project, it can be concluded that: (1) The director must be able to create a short filmconcept to be made. (2) Cooperation with the team and crew is needed whenmaking the short film “All I Want”. (3) The role of the director must have aleadership spirit so that he can direct the entire team that works in making short films. Keywords: Short Film, Director Role
