Abstract

Along with the times, films are not only used as entertainment media but are also used as mass communication media to convey certain messages to the public. In making our short film entitled “Hasrat”, the camera stylist applied the 5c's Of Cinematography theory and used the concept of Continuity to help convey the message of the film to the audience. . 5 C's Of Cinematography is a theory that by Joseph V. Mascelli simplifies important aspects in cinematography which include Camera Angel, Continuity, Cutting, Close Up & Composition. These theories and concepts will make it easier and help the audience to understand the plot, content, meaning and message in the short film “Hasrat”. In the process of production, Dop with the Director, the Editor discussed with each other to produce good quality image and produce maximum output so that the message to be conveyed in the film Hasrat can be conveyed clearly to the audience. In its production, the film desires to increase dynamic shooting to increase the impression of action in the film, while in terms of composition, the film "hasrat" reproduces the type of Medium & Close up shot to emphasize the expression of the cast to the audience. Keywords: Short Film, Overseas, Prostitution, Department Of Photography, Cinemaography, 5c of sinematography Seiring perkembangan zaman, film selain digunakan sebagai media hiburan juga sering digunakan sebagai media komunikasi massa untuk menyampaikan pesan pesan tertentu kepada khalayak. Dalam pembuatan film pendek kami yang berjudul “Hasrat”, penata kamera mengaplikasikan teori 5c’s of cinematography dan memakai konsep Continuity untuk membantu menyampaikan pesan dari film tersebut kepada para penontonya. 5 C’s Of Sinematography merupakan sebuah teori yang oleh Joseph V. Mascelli meyederhanakan Aspek aspek penting dalam sinematografi yang mana meliputi Camera Angel, Continuity, Cutting, Close Up & Composition. Teori dan Konsep ini akan memudahkan dan membantu penonton untuk memahami alur, isi, arti dan pesan dalam film pendek “Hasrat”. Dalam proses pengambilan gambar, Dop bersama Sutradara , Editor saling berdiskusi untuk menghasilkan gambar yang bagus dan menghasilkan output yang maksimal sehingga pesan yang ingin disampaikan dalam film Hasrat ini dapat tersampaikan dengan jelas kepada para penontonya. Dalam produksinya film hasrat memperbanyak pengambilan gambar dinamis untuk meningkatkan kesan action dalam film tersebut, sedangkan dalam segi komposisi, film hasrat mperbanyak type shot Medium & Close up untuk menekankan ekspresi pemeran kepada para penonton Kata Kunci: Film Pendek, Rantau, Prostitusi, Departemen Of Photography, Sinemaografi, 5c of sinematography
