Abstract

Program Dunia Dalam Berita (DDB) is the pioneer of television news stations and programs in Indonesia. TVRI shows have positive educational and information value for the community and have an extensive broadcast network. One of them, the program Dunia Dalam Berita (DDB), which until now is still the flagship program on TVRI itself. This study aims to determine the public's perception of RT.004, RW.014 Taman Galaxy Housing towards the "Dunia Dalam Berita" program on TVRI. News is the fastest report on the latest facts that are of interest and importance to most audiences. In this study, the researcher uses the theory of perception, perception is to select, interpret and round off the information that arrives and react to the information. In the perception process, there are three main components, namely, selection is a process of filtering by the senses against external stimuli, interpretation, namely the process of organizing information so that it has meaning for a person and reaction, namely behavior after the selection and interpretation process takes place. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, with explanative survey method. The population of the study was the community of RT.004, RW.014 of the Taman Galaxy Housing, totaling 100 and a total sampling of 82 who watched the program Dunia Dalam Berita TVRI. The results of this study indicate that the picture of public perception is positive both based on the dimensions of intensity, selection, reaction and interpretation. It was found that respondents watched the length of time, focus, knowing the presenter, the material of the program, duration of broadcast, setting of the program, following the style of the presenter, passing back information to others. friends after watching, judged both the host, the material, the duration of the show and the setting of the Dunia Dalam Berita program on TVRI. This research is academically expected to increase or expand knowledge and can be useful especially for students of the Department of Communication Science and theoretically is expected to provide input for the development of communication science through television as input for further research. research, namely the TVRI television station, especially the World Program in the News. Keywords: Program, Public Perception, News Program Dunia Dalam Berita (DDB) merupakan pelopor stasiun serta program berita televisi di Indonesia. Tayangan-tayangan TVRI memiliki nilai pendidikan dan informasi yang positif bagi masyarakat serta memiliki jaringan siaran yang luas. Salah satunya, program Dunia Dalam Berita (DDB) yang sampai sekarang masih menjadi acara unggulan di TVRI sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat RT.004, RW.014 Perumahan Taman Galaxy Terhadap Program Acara “Dunia Dalam Berita” di TVRI. Berita adalah laporan tercepat mengenai fakta terbaru yang menarik dan penting bagi sebagian besar khalayak. Pada penelitian ini peneliti mengunakan teori persepsi, persepsi adalah melakukan seleksi, interpretasi dan pembulatan terhadap informasi yang sampai serta melakukan reaksi atas informasi tersebut. Dalam proses persepsi, terdapat tiga komponen utama yaitu, seleksi merupakan proses penyaringan oleh indera terhadap rangsangan dari luar, interpretasi yaitu proses mengorganisasikan informasi sehingga mempunyai arti bagi seseorang dan reaksi yaitu tingkah laku setelah berlangsung proses seleksi dan interpretasi. Tipe penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan metode survey bersifat eksplanatif. Populasi penelitian adalah Masyarakat RT.004, RW.014 Perumahan Taman Galaxy, berjumlah sebanyak 100 dan total sampling sebanyak 82 yang menonton program Dunia Dalam Berita TVRI. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gambaran persepsi masyarakat adalah positif baik berdasarkan dimensi intensitas, seleksi, reaksi dan penafsiran ditemukan bahwa responden lama menonton, fokus, mengetahui pembawa acara, materi acara, durasi penayangan, setting acara, mengikuti gaya pembawa acara, meneruskan kembali informasi kepada teman setelah menonton, menilai baik pembawa acara, materi, durasi penayangan dan terhadap setting acara Dunia Dalam Berita di TVRI. Saran penelitian ini secara akademis diharapkan dapat menambah atau memperluas pengetahuan dan dapat bermanfaat khususnya bagi Mahasiswa Departemen Ilmu Komunikasi dan secara teoritis diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan untuk pengembangan ilmu komunikasi melalui televisi sebagai masukan penelitian selanjutnya Sementara saran praktisnya di harapkan penelitian ini dapat menjadi masukan positif bagi objek penelitian yakni stasiun televisi TVRI khususnya Program Acara Dunia Dalam Berita.
