Abstract

Shear walls and braces are earthquake-resistant elements that are widely used in highrise buildings. The differences in the characteristics possessed by the two can provide different contributions to the response of the resulting building structure. This final project aims to determine differences in the behavior of the resulting structure against the use of shear walls and steel braces. In this study 3 models were used, namely the first model is a model without a stiffening system, the second model is a shear wall modeling, and the third model is a concentric steel brace modeling. The analysis used is spectrum response analysis based on the SNI 1726-2019 earthquake regulations. From the results of the study, it was found that the structure using the steel braced system (model 3) provides higher stiffness than the shear wall structure (model 2). This is indicated by the fundamental period of the structure produced by model 3 (T3 = 1.599 s) which is smaller than that of model 2 (T2 = 1.604 s) and the maximum inter-floor deviation produced by the structure of model 3 (∆3 = 47.965 mm) is smaller than that of model 2. (∆2 = 49.841 mm). Keywords : Concentrically Braced Steel, Shear Wall, Internal Force. Dinding geser dan bresing merupakan elemen penahan gempa yang banyak digunakan pada gedung bertingkat tinggi. Perbedaan karakteristik yang dimiliki keduanya dapat memberikan kontribusi yang berbeda terhadap respon struktur bangunan yang dihasilkan. Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan perilaku struktur yang dihasilkan terhadap penggunaan dinding geser dan bresing baja. Pada penelitian ini digunakan 3 pemodelan, yaitu model pertama merupakan pemodelan tanpa sistem pengaku, model kedua ialah pemodelan dengan dinding geser, dan model ketiga ialah pemodelan dengan bresing baja konsentris. Analisa yang digunakan adalah analisa respon spektrum berdasarkan peraturan gempa SNI 1726-2019. Dari hasil penelitian, didapatkan bahwa struktur yang menggunakan sistem bresing baja (model 3) memberikan kekakuan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan struktur dinding geser (model 2). Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh periode fundamental struktur yang dihasilkan model 3 (T3 = 1,599 s) lebih kecil dari model 2 (T2 = 1,604 s) serta simpangan antar lantai maksimum yang dihasilkan struktur model 3 (∆3 = 47,965 mm) lebih kecil dari model 2 (∆2 = 49,841 mm).
