Abstract

Documentary films are non-fiction films, whose contentsrepresent reality in the form of recording images as they are without engineering. Because based on this reality, every scene taken is natural and spontaneous, making it difficult to manipulate. The role of the director in this documentary is to translate the initial idea of the story in order tocreate a visualization. The director must have a point of view,sense orsensitivity to a situation, by beingable to convey the meaning of the message from the script so that the audience can understand and capture the meaning contained. The director and team made a documentary that tells about the twists and turns of freelancers inthe field of marriage documentation when carrying out their duties. By using an exposition style, in which interviews containing information from the sources are used as the sole speakers of the documentary film. Based on the results of the design of the film "Momen di Balik Layar Keelokan Pernikahan" theauthor concludes that the director plays an active role in guiding the team of work relatives, as well as the importance of communication between teams so that things do not happen that are not wanted because they affect the success of a film to be made. Keywords : Documentary film, Director, Freelancer Film dokumenter merupakan film non fiksi, yang isinya merepresentasikan sebuah realita berupaperekaman gambar apa adanya tanpa rekayasa. Karena berdasarkan realita inilah, setiap adegan yang diambil sifatnya alamiah dan spontan sehingga sulit untuk dimanipulasi. Peran sutradara dalam film dokumenter ini tugasnya menerjemahkan ide awal cerita guna diciptakan visualisasinya. Sutradara harus memiliki titik pandang, sense atau kepekaan terhadap suatu keadaan, dengan dapat menyampaikan arti pesan dari naskah sehingga penonton dapat mengerti dan menangkap makna yang terkandung. Sutradara dan tim membuat karya dokumenter yang menceritakan tentang bagaimana lika-liku para pekerja lepas dibidang dokumentasi pernikahan disaat melaksanakan tugasnya. Dengan memakai gaya eksposisi, yang dimana wawancara yang berisi informasi dari para narasumber dijadikan sebagai penutur tunggal film dokumenter. Berdasarkan hasil perancangan film “Momen di Balik Layar Keelokan Pernikahan” penulis menyimpulkan bahwa sutradara memegang peranan aktif dalam membimbing tim kelompok kerabat kerja, serta pentingnya komunikasi antar tim agar tidak terjadi hal-hal yang tidak di inginkan sebab berpengaruh dalam keberhasilan sebuah film yang akan dibuat.
