Abstract
Kuningan is a Regency located in the eastern part of West Java, Kuningan Regency has potential in the tourism sector compared to the surrounding area. This is inseparable from the wealth of natural and refreshing tourist objects and attractions with the background of Mount Ciremai. Kuningan Regency has the potential to build a resort hotel, as one of the accommodation facilities that can meet the needs of tourists, both those who have business needs and those who want to have recreation. The construction of hotels and resorts as a complement to tourist areas is an alternative choice for humans to reduce fatigue from work. The design of this Resort Hotel is emphasized on the Neo-Vernacular Architecture approach, where this Neo-Vernacular Architecture is a blend of modern and traditional or local local culture, this Resort Hotel can present elements of local local culture through ornaments, shapes or appearances inside and outside Resort Hotels. The choice of a Neo-Vernacular approach with local culture is also an effort to maintain traditional architecture which has begun to erode with modern buildings. Keywords: Hotel Resort, Kuningan, Neo - Vernacular Architecture Kuningan merupakan sebuah Kabupaten yang terletak di bagian timur Jawa Barat, Kabupaten Kuninganmemiliki potensidalamsektor pariwisata dibandingkandengan derah sekitarnya. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari kekayaan akan obyek dan daya Tarik wisata yang alami dan menyegarkan dengan background Gunung Ciremai. Kabupaten Kuningan berpotensi dibangunnya resort hotel, sebagai salah satu sarana akomodasi yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhanwisatawan, baik itu yang berkeperluan bisnis maupun yang ingin berekreasi. Pembangunan hotel dan resort sebagai pelengkap area wisata menjadi alternatif pilihan manusia untuk mengurangi rasa penat dari bekerja. Perancangannya Hotel Resort ini ditekankan pada pendekatan Arsitektur Neo-Vernakular, dimana Arsitektur Neo-Vernakular inimerupakan perpaduan antara modern dan tradisional atau budaya lokal setempat, Hotel Resort ini dapat menghadirkan unsur budaya lokalsetempat melalui ornamen-ornamen, bentuk atau tampilan ke dalam dan diluar Hotel Resort. Pemilihan pendekatan Neo-Vernakular dengan budaya lokal juga merupakan suatu upaya untuk mempertahankan Arsitektur tradisional yang mulai terkikis dengan bangunanbangunan modern.
