Abstract
The high number of purchases for Wardah’s skincare products is affecting the increase of e-commerce packaging waste. E-commerce packaging redesign is a concrete step to reducing the effect of the packaging. Besides of designed to secure the product during shipping, e-commerce packaging is designed to be eco-friendly and easy to operate by users, namely business side, expedition services, and consumers. According to ecommerce packaging data that analyzed using any theories, such as ecommerce packaging theory, green packaging theory based on Sustainable Packaging Alliance (SPA), packaging shape theory, best practices, and analysis sketch. So that the function, system, and aesthetic aspects are known to complete the purposes of design. The concept of e-commerce packaging is consist of 3 components, namely outer packaging, modular box insert, and packaging seal sticker. The concept is made by consideration of many aspects of packaging. The dimension that is designed as optimal, effective, and efficient. The form, structure, pattern, and material that is chosen by considering the mechanical ability, cyclic, and cleanness. Also, the visual design is informative and eases the user while operating the packaging. Keywords: e-commerce, e-commerce packaging, green packaging, userpackaging interaction, packaging optimization Tingginya pembelian produk skincare merek Wardah berdampak pada meningkatnya sampah e-commerce packaging. Perancangan ulang ecommerce packaging merupakan langkah kongkrit untuk mengurangi dampak kemasan tersebut. Selain dirancang untuk mengamankan produk selama pengiriman, e-commerce packaging dirancang agar ramah lingkungan dan mudah dioperasikan pengguna, yaitu pihak bisnis, jasa ekspedisi, dan konsumen. Mengacu pada data e-commerce packaging yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan berbagai teori e-commerce packaging, teori kemasan ramah lingkungan berbasis Sustainable Packaging Alliance (SPA), teori bentuk kemasan, berbagai best practice, dan sketsa analisis. Sehingga diketahui aspek fungsi, sistem, dan estetika yang dapat memenuhi tujuan perancangan. Konsep e-commerce packaging terdiri dari 3 komponen, yaitu kemasan terluar, box insert modular, dan stiker segel kemasan. Konsep dibuat dengan memperhatikan berbagai aspek dalam kemasan. Dimensi yang dirancang optimal, efektif dan efisien. Bentuk, struktur, pola, dan bahan yang ditentukan dengan memperhatikan kemampuan mekanis, siklik dan bersih. Serta desain visual yang informatif dan memudahkan pengguna dalam mengoperasikan kemasan. Sehingga menghasilkan e-commerce packaging yang mampu menjawab permasalahan perancangan.
