Abstract

Director of Photography or commonly called DoP is a person who has a vital role in making a film. A drawing director has his duties and obligations that include the pre-production and production stages. As a Dop in filmmaking, you must understand and be responsible for all the visual affairs of the film and then turn the script into a movie visual. The author applies the theory of 5c's of cinematography to help convey the message of the film to the audience. 5 C's Of Cinematography is a theory by Joseph V.Mascelli explained the important aspects of cinematography which include Camera Angel, Continuity, Cutting, Close Up & Composition.The five elements are applied by the author in the shooting production of the short drama film Reality Love. because all the discussion in the book 5'C Cinematography became the most important element in shooting at the creation of this film to create an interesting Visualization In the production of the short drama film "Reality Love" Dop together with the Director and Editor discussed with each other to produce a good picture and produce maximum output so that the message to be conveyed in this short drama film "Reality Love" can be conveyed clearly to the audience. Keywords: Director Of Photography,Short Drama Film, 5c Of Cinematography Director Of Photography atau yang biasa disebut DoP adalah seorang yang mempunyai peran vital dalam pembuatan sebuah film. Seorang pengarah gambar memiliki tugas dan kewajibannyayang meliputi tahap pra produksi dan produksi. Sebagai seorang Dop dalam pembuatan film harus paham dan bertanggung jawab segala urusan visual film lalu mengubah naskah jadi visual film.Penulis mengaplikasikan teori 5c’s of cinematography untuk membantu menyampaikan pesan dari film tersebut kepada para penontonya. 5 C’s Of Sinematography merupakan sebuah teori yang oleh Joseph V. Mascelli meyederhanakan Aspek aspek penting dalam sinematografi yang mana meliputi Camera Angel, Continuity, Cutting, Close Up & Composition. Kelima elemen tersebut penulis terapkan dalam produksi pengambilan gambar Film drama pendek Reality Love. dikarenakan semua pembahasan dalam buku 5’C Cinematography menjadi elemen paling penting dalam pengambilan gambar pada penciptaan film ini untuk menciptakan Visualisasi yang menarik. Dalam produksi Film drama pendek “Reality Love” Dop bersama Sutradara dan Editor saling berdiskusi untuk menghasilkan gambar yang bagus dan menghasilkan output yang maksimal sehingga pesan yang ingin disampaikan dalam film drama pendek “Reality Love” ini dapat tersampaikan dengan jelas kepada para penontonya.
