Abstract

In Indonesia the worship of idols is getting higher, worship of idols is a form of behavior or feelings that arise from worshiping idols, as a form of satisfaction, entertainment. Many K-Pop fans in their late teens are still heavily involved in idol worship. This can be seen from the various activities carried out by K-Pop fans in their late teens for their idols. The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is a relationship between Celebrity Worship and Self Control. This research was conducted on 171 Respondents of K-Pop Fans aged 18-24 years. This study used data collection in the form of a Likert scale, namely the Celebrity Worship and Self Control scale. Sampling used a random sampling technique, data collection was carried out using Google Forms which contained research tools and then distributed through social media and K-Pop Fan groups. The results of this study, there is a relationship between celebrity worship and Self Control K-Pop fans in their late teens. The correlation value between Self Control and Celebrity Worship is 0.454, while for the sig (p) value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), it can be interpreted that there is a positive relationship between Celebrity Worship and Self Control. The higher the individual's Celebrity Worship, the higher the individual's Self Control. On the other hand, the lower the Celebrity Worship, the lower the Self Control. Keywords: Celebrity Worship , Self Control Di Indonesia pemujaan terhadap idola semakin tinggi, pemujaan terhadap idola adalah bentuk tingkah laku atau perasaan yang muncul dari pemujaan kepada idola, sebagai bentuk kepuasan, hiburan. Banyak Penggemar K-Pop usia remaja akhir masih banyak terlibat dalam pemujaan idola. Hal ini terlihat dari berbagai aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh para Penggemar K-Pop usia remaja akhir untuk idolanya. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara Celebrity Worship dengan Self Control. penelitian ini dilakukan pada 171 Responsden Penggemar K-Pop usia 18-24 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pengumpulan data berupa skala Likert, yaitu skala Celebrity Worship dan Self Control. Pengambilan sample menggunakan teknik random sampling, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menngunakan Google Forms yang berisi alat penelitian kemudian disebarkan melalui media sosial dan grup Penggemar K-Pop. Hasil penelitian ini, terdapat hubungan antara celebriti worship dengan Self Control Penggemar K-Pop usia remaja akhir. Nilai kolerasi Self Control dengan Celebrity Worship sebesar 0,454, sedangkan untuk nilai sig (p) sebesar 0.000 (p < 0,05), dapat diartikan terdapat hubungan positif antara Celebrity Worship dengan Self Control. Semakin tinggi Celebrity Worship individu maka semakin tinggi pula Self Control yang dimiliki individu. Sebaliknya jika semakin rendah Celebrity Worship maka semakin rendah Self Control.
