Abstract

Verbal violence often occurs on social media, one of which is Instagram @denisechariesta_ofc. Therefore, this research is motivated by the very rapid development of communication technology, so that it can have a negative impact on its users. The researcher describes verbal violence in the comments column on the @denisechariesta_ofc Instagram account post. The type of this research method is content analysis with a quantitative approach and the type of descriptive research using categorization, namely, saying harsh words, threatening, insulting. This study uses the paradigm of Positism. This study aims to analyze how netizen comments on Instagram @denisechariesta_ofc can be categorized as cases of verbal violence. Based on the analysis of the data taken, namely, the sampling technique, by determining a random sampling sample, namely, the results of the population that have been calculated based on the Slovin formula, namely 96 Contents of Comments Sorted by date/time commented. Data collection techniques used are documentation techniques or (screen capture). The results showed that the contents of the comments in the @denisechariesta_ofc post contained comments containing verbal violence with the highest category appearing in the category of harsh words at 36%. Of the 96 comments analyzed, the frequency distribution of this insulting indicator was found to be the most derogatory at 38%. Keywords: Verbal Violence, Social Media, Instagram Kekerasan Verbal sering terjadi di media sosial, salah satunya di media sosial Instagram @denisechariesta_ofc oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perkembangan teknologi komunikasi yang sangat pesat, sehingga dapat memberikan dampak negatif terhadap penggunanya tersebut. Peneliti mendeskripsikan kekerasan verbal di kolom komentar pada postingan akun instagram @denisechariesta_ofc. Jenis metode penelitian ini adalah analisis isi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan tipe penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan kategorisasi yaitu, mengucapkan kata-kata kasar, mengancam, menghina. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma Positisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa bagaimana komentar netizen di Instagram @denisechariesta_ofc dan dapat dikategorikan sebagai kasus kekerasan verbal. Berdasarkan analisis data yang diambil yaitu, Teknik penarikan sample , dengan cara menentukan sample random sampling yaitu, Hasil dari populasi yang sudah di hitung berdasarkan Rumus Slovin yaitu 96 Isi Komentar Di urutkan berdasarkan tanggal/waktu berkomentar.Teknik Pengumpulan data yang di gunakan yaitu teknik dokumentasi atau (screen capture). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa isi komentar di Postingan @denisechariesta_ofc terdapat si komentar mengandung kekerasan verbal dengan kategori yang paling tertinggi muncul adalah kategori kata-kata kasar sebesar 36%. Dari 96 komentar yang di analisis Persebaran frekuensi dari indikator menghina ini didapat yang terbanyak pada kata menghina sebesar 38%. Kata Kunci : Kekerasan Verbal, Media Sosial, Instagram
