Abstract

Jelambar village already have their own Youtube Channel with tagline Jelambar media channel, this Youtube Channel was created as a medium to spread message and documentation, but their Youtube channel only one sided, they tend to be focusing on documenting their activities only , and yet to attract many of viewer This research using new media theory , developed by Pierre Levy , using constructivism paradigm, using methodology of cases study , where researcher , observing directly, in Jelambar village the management of their Youtube channels with qualitative descriptive technique, where the result of this research will be presented in word and documentation of their Youtube channels The result of this research is that , Jelambar village indeed implemented their Youtube channels as online Public Relations, for example spreading news and documenting their activities, but instead their content tend to one sided , rather than two sided where they only focusing on their documentation, but their content way too focused on village’s activity, and almost none of their citizen Key word : New media, Youtube, Kelurahan Jelambar , Jelambar Media channel Kelurahan Jelambar telah memiliki channel Youtube mereka sendiri ,dengan tagline, Jelambar media channel , kanal Youtube ini dibuat sebagai media yang digunakan pihak kelurahan Jelambar dalam menyebarkan pesan dan dokumentasi, namun kanal Youtube mereka hanya bersifat satu arah saja dan belum mampu digunakan untuk menarik Jumlah penonton yang banyak. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori media baru yang dikembangkan oleh Pierre Levy dan menggunakan paradigma penelitian konstruktifisme , penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian, studi kasus observatif , dimana peneliti melakukan observasi terhadap pengelolaan Youtube pihak kelurahan Jelambar , dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif , dimana hasil penelitian akan disajikan dalam bentuk kalimat dan keterangan berupa gambar hasil dokumentasi Youtube Jelambar Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa, Youtube kelurahan Jelambar memang telah melakukan pengelolaan kanal Youtube mereka, dan memposting konten secara konsisten, sebagai media Public Relations online, yaitu menyebarkan berita ataupun kegiatan dokumentasi kepada masyarakat di Kelurahan Jelambar, namun pemberitaan mereka hanya bersifat satu arah saja, dan konten yang disebarkan terlalu berpusat pada kegiatan semata pihak kelurahan saja.
