Abstract

DESIGN OF MINIMALIST IRON CUPBOARD (LEKAS) Written Project Report Study Programs Product Design Mercu Buana University Bekasi, 2017 By: Steffanie Rose 41913310008 ABSTRACT An ironing board is generally a large, flat piece of board made of wood or metal that is covered with a heat-safe padding on which clothing or linens may be ironed safely. Modern ironing boards take a surprising number of forms. The standard, ironing board has two primary parts and includes a flat bed for ironing and collapsible legs that are hinged or slip into the top and folded down for easy storage. Legs are generally lightweight and tubular with padded feet so that they do not mar floors. The purpose of this design is to find the solution of the problems encountered during the use of ironing board and create an innovation product that can be useful both for writers and users on daily activities as well as gain knowledge both theoretical and practical in the manufacture of products appropriate for users in particular housewife. This Minimalist Iron Cupboard can be a product that not only puts multifunctional but is a product that can save space or can be placed in small rooms and has good materials and is easier to use. Keywords : Ironing, board, innovation, minimalist PERANCANGAN LEMARI SETRIKA MINIMALIS (LEKAS) Pertanggungjawaban Tertulis Program Studi Desain Produk Universitas Mercu Buana Bekasi, 2017 Oleh: Steffanie Rose 41913310008 ABSTRAK Papan setrika umumnya merupakan sepotong papan kayu besar, datar atau logam yang ditutupi dengan bantalan anti panas di mana pakaian atau linen dapat disetrika dengan aman. Papan setrika modern mengalami sejumlah perubahan bentuk yang mengejutkan. Papan setrika standar memiliki dua bagian utama dan termasuk papan datar untuk menyetrika dan kaki lipat yang berengsel atau menyelinap ke atas dan dilipat untuk penyimpanan yang mudah. Bagian kaki umumnya ringan dan berbentuk tabung dengan bantalan kaki empuk sehingga tidak merusak lantai. Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah mencari solusi dari masalah yang ditemui pada saat penggunaan papan setrika dan membuat sebuah produk inovasi yang dapat berguna baik untuk penulis maupun pengguna pada kegiatan sehari-hari serta memperoleh pengetahuan baik secara teori maupun praktek dalam pembuatan produk yang sesuai untuk pengguna khususnya ibu rumah tangga. Lemari Setrika Minimalis ini dapat menjadi produk yang tidak hanya mengutamakan multifungsinya tetapi merupakan produk yang dapat menghemat tempat atau dapat ditempatkan di ruangan kecil dan memiliki bahan yang baik serta lebih mudah untuk digunakan.
