Abstract

DESIGN OF URBAN TOY WITH GASSES TUBE SHAPES Written Project Report Study Programs Product Design Paculty of Design and Creative Art Mercu Buana University Bekasi, 2017 By : Erwin Machfudz Anshori ABSTRACT Urban toy is one of the limited toys from populist art which influenced by urban art, in Indonesia itself urban art has already been known and often applied in some media, like mural, toys, and painting. The idea of this design is to combine contemporary local wisdom such shapes of LPG gasses with the current urban toys phenomenon. With this design, the authors do research and production of the process of printing toys with mass quantities. The authors also undertake a study of forms related to engineering functions such as ergonomics, aesthetics, and utility in an urban toy product. The conclusion gained from making this product is that the author should pay attention to all aspects in the manufacture of products in order to remain balanced and aligned. Keywords : LPG Gasses, urban toys, action figure, do it yourself, molding PERANCANGAN URBAN TOYS BERBENTUK TABUNG GAS Pertanggungjawaban Tertulis Program Studi Desain Produk Fakultas Desain dan Seni Kreatif Universitas Mercu Buana Bekasi. 2017 Oleh : Erwin Machfudz Anshori ABSTRAK Urban toy merupakan salah satu mainan terbatas dari seni populis yang dipengaruhi oleh seni urban, di Indonesia sendiri seni urban sudah mulai dikenal dan sering diaplikasikan dalam beberapa media dari mural, mainan, dan lukisan. Ide dari perancangan ini adalah menggabungkan kearifan lokal yang bersifat kontemporer seperti bentuk gas LPG dengan fenomena urban toy saat ini. Pada perancangan kali ini, penulis melakukan penelitian dan cara produksi dari proses pencetakan mainan dengan jumlah masal. Penulis juga melakukan studi bentuk yang berkaitan dengan fungsi rancang bangun seperti ergonomi, estetika, dan utilitas pada suatu produk urban toy. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari pembuatan urban toy ini adalah bahwa penulis harus memperhatikan segala aspek dalam pembuatan produk agar dapat tetap seimbang dan selaras.
